@maddinwritestuff You have a big 'XP' and 'Me Too' from me on that also! What an awesome idea! I find cowplants annoying (suffice to say I have one in the gallery ... named 'Unwanted Cowplant' 😆), but have never had one die, and I do use them here and there if it fits well in my household goals. I've had no Sim deaths from them, but I have had them get eaten. I find cowplants to be very needy, and they have poopy benefits for the amount of maintenance they want to keep happy. However, if they gave plant-based milk daily as a benefit of your invested efforts, I would be on board with that and actually use them way more often!!!
Another note, if these comments get seen... I would love to see a socialization benefit for caring for the cowplant. It would be cool if they could be in your 'friends'/relationships panel and you could also view how high the bar is in your relationship with them, and if the bar is over 1/2 full you're safe from being eaten. I would play them more if that was the case also.
I would also love if gardeners and butlers would care for them.
@simsplayer818 You likely know this, but if you're getting overwhelmed by caring for them and need a break, you can move the cowplant to the household inventory and they will stay there in limbo until you move them back onto the lot.

@PugLove888 I absolutely agree. I think it's these little things that set the game apart from others.
@SheriGR that's a great tip! I did not know that. I often just grow them at the science lab to get around their tricky nature and then other Sims can take over when I add a new scientist Sim. But that's really useful to know.
I just had to check the new merch store for Cowplant items after this conversation it occurred to me they'd make great gifts but so far they only sell a pin. I hope they add more Cowplant themed merchandise!❤️🐮

@SheriGR , I love your idea of them not eating a Sim if it has a high enough relationship with the Cowplant! 🥰
I think the main reason we can't milk them everyday, is that you can now only milk them after they have eaten a Sim, which isn't everyday, and then wouldn't really be plant based milk! But I still wish we could milk them everyday for plant based milk, and then if they have eaten a Sim then we could milk them for the elixirs that they currently give. That would be the best of both worlds. 😉
@simsplayer818 I have never actually grown a Cowplant at the Science Lab! I've always had them in residential lots! 🤣- simsplayer8182 years agoHero@PugLove888 I have a section of the science lab devoted to mysterious plants. I have the alien plants, the Cowplant and the magic beans tree outside in fenced off areas looking mysterious, Strangerville plant stuff is in a locked basement, etc. I do find that they take a few days longer to grow and at one point, the first time I grew it at the lab I thought the Cowplant was going to remain a Calfplant because every day when my Sim got to work it was still a mini-moo. Then eventually she arrived at work and it was fully grown.
The funny thing is when I see other lab staff approach it as it did once chew a member of staff up and spit them out again. Oh dear, my plant just ate a colleague. But they were fine!

Would love to see the Cowplant get a friendship bar and watch it rise when you "Talk To Plant". Then, after befriending, you can freely milk them for Plant Milk.
This option would be a nice workaround for Sims who live in an Apartment and can't have a Cow Shed on their lot (at least not that I know of, I've never tried this).
