Creator Kits Should Not Be Paid CC

Picture 1: Peacemaker Mudroom Set, Free CC
Picture 2: Peacemaker Mudroom Kit, Paid CC

The paid Kit version is quite literally the exact same items in a slightly different style. Are we being for real with this?

At the very least, creator kits shouldn't be paid versions of the creator's existing CC- it's already a bad value for PC players when you do that, because now we're expected to pay...for another version of something we can already get for free. At least make the kit something entirely new so it has value for both PC and Console players.

Additionally, the officially released paid version is lower quality and covered in compression artifacts...

Or just give console players access to CC. Baldur's Gate 3 already did this by having an official in-game mod installer that allows console players to install curated mods.

  • The compression artifacts annoy me, they should fix those. This reminds me of the wardrobe from Vintage Glamour that I never use because of that.

As for kit should not be custom content, it doesn't bother me too much but it does feel weird that the creator is being paid by EA for content that they have more or less already made.
