Crime is kind of lacking in the sims 4 (Prison Pack)

Just kind of realized while breaking and entering that there's a decent number of crimes your sims can commit, but no real punishments. The most the sims will do is glare at you or kick you out.

I am literally breaking and entering with a crowbar, there should be a threat of jail time.

I think I'd really like to see a prison pack that fleshes out sims. Adds more crimes that are rated T for teen, such as breaking and entering, burglarly, fighting, arson, graffiti, etc. Committing crime has a chance of getting you caught, where you will go to trial and be sentenced. There are ways to avoid this like bribery etc.

While playing inside jail you can work out, read, watch tv, work cafeteria jobs etc and your sims friends and family will come to visit you.  You can try to bust out or bribe the guards to get out early.

You can visit your friends in jail as well, and you should be able to toggle in neighborhood stories whether sims can autonomously commit and be arrested for crimes, in which case you get a phone notification saying "I was arrested!" you can bail them out or just visit them.

  • I personally would not like to see a jail represented in The Sims, but I would be okay with Sims being caught / imprisoned for crimes and disappearing (the same as when at work or school) during which time they are unplayable. That would punish the player for having gambled and lost with committing the crime, and give some amount of stakes (lost time in the game, etc.). Meanwhile, the 'visiting in prison' mechanism could still be active by sending a different Sim to visit (disappear the same as at work or school). This would be a much simpler implementation that I think could actually happen, without requiring a whole pack. Also think it would be good to limit this to happening just to Sims who are in the criminal career, because otherwise non-player Sims might be constantly disappearing to prison and it might affect Sims who would otherwise never commit crimes in terms of ongoing neighborhood story action.
