Criminal Career Reward Idea: Functional Duffle O Cash

I've been playing a lot with the Criminal career lately and had an idea for a reward that would add a ton of fun and roleplaying potential. I wanted to share it here using the suggested feedback format.

  1. What area of gameplay is your feedback about?
  • Careers (specifically the Criminal career track)
  • Objects/Activities (functional objects and money storage)
  1. What works well right now?
I love the thematic rewards for the Criminal career, like the "Duffle O Cash" decorative object. It’s a perfect trophy that visually represents a Sim’s success in the underworld. The career itself has great storytelling potential, and having physical items to show for your Sim's nefarious deeds is a big part of that.
  2. What isn’t working or feels frustrating?
The "Duffle O Cash" is currently just a decoration. It feels like a missed opportunity for a fun, interactive item. Once you place it, it just sits there. For a career all about acquiring ill-gotten gains, there's no special, thematic way to store or interact with your wealth. You just use the same household funds as every other Sim. The Duck Security SCR009E Super XL Smart Vault is large, only available in the Get Famous expansion pack, and it's an expensive object.
  3. What new ideas or improvements would you suggest?
My idea is simple: Make the "Duffle O Cash" reward object functional.

Specifically, it should work exactly like the Duck Security SCR009E Super XL Smart Vault from the Get Famous pack. This would allow Sims to:

  • Store Simoleons inside the duffle bag.
  • "View Contents" to see how much money is stored.
  • "Add Funds" or "Withdraw Funds" through pie-menu interactions.

This would turn it from a simple decoration into the ultimate criminal's toolkit—a portable, sneaky-looking stash for your cash.

  1. Why would this improve your gameplay experience?
This would massively improve roleplaying and storytelling. Instead of buying a giant, obvious vault, my master thief could hide their fortune in a seemingly innocent duffle bag stashed in a closet or leave it out in the open for someone to steal. It fits the "career criminal" aesthetic perfectly. It would make the Criminal career reward feel unique and valuable beyond just its decorative value, giving players a practical and incredibly themed reason to work their way up that career track.

What do y'all think? Would you use a functional Duffle O Cash? If so, please upvote this idea so EA can see it and add it to the game.
