Deactivate objects

Can we have a way to deactivate objects like fireplaces, barbecues and microwaves, so they can never be used by sims unless you activate them?

I feel like everytime a house has a barbecue or a microwave the sims will abuse of its use causing them to start fires or get constantly uncomfortable. For fireplaces the sims are always driven to it, lighting it up, staying there even when you don't want it. Its fires also causes much fps drops when i played on a laptop that didn't match the minimum requirements, so it can be a problem to other people too.

    I don't have this issue in game with my chefs.

    I love a good BBQ especially when the chef is qualified to make a perfect dish...no fires.

    I have learned to exceed the requirements in the game on PC level in ordered to gain maximum gameplay pleasure.  

    Memory and graphics cards play into this for me. 

    I love cc and mods therefore my machine needs to adapt and love my mods as long as they are updated...this was off topic. Sorry.
