Dial It Back

This isn't really a bug but more of a complaint about design. Occult Sims in CAS drive me out of my mind. Werewolves howl every 2 seconds. Vampires hiss every 2 seconds. I have to mute my game to get through my edits. Do we really need constant and continuous animations to "remind" us that we are using an occult Sim? I mean, really. It seems like firing the occult specific animations every few minutes (or maybe even just once) would be sufficient.

Also, on the topic of sound design, why are sleeping Sims so GD annoying? I understand they snore to avoid looking dead or whatever, but they make more noise sleeping than they do when they have woo-hoo. Moaning and gasping - sleeping shouldn't sound orgasmic, nor should it be hearable when on another floor of the home than the one your currently controlled Sim is on. It really does drive me nuts.

Am I alone in this?

  • I think it would be nice to have a button in CAS to make Sims stand still. That way they can move around if you want to see the outfit in motion, but you can make them stand still while you make changes.

  • You're not alone...the CAS animations are very annoying to me too, all of them in fact but the occult ones take the cake...like, dudes, Im trying to work here, stand the f still!

For the other thing...I play without sound cause there are alot of sounds in the game that annoy me and the way they are balanced...so...yeah...

  • Very annoying indeed. It would be enough if they howl/hiss just once as a "welcome to my CAS files".

Yup, EA has gone over the top on many sounds and animations.  All the mayhem in CAS that goes on it's a wonder I get anything done at all, lol.  Per my sister who mostly hears, "Just stop it!"  and "Stand still!"😆
