Did we really have to get rid of thirst?
Hello Watchers of dehydrated Sims,
I listened to a Sims podcast from Maxis recently, where they said they got entirely rid of the hidden thirst need.
I've seen for years people complain that Sims autonomously drink water. But from what I got, the problem was Sims left glasses of water in random places, the glasses eventually got spoiled like it was regular food, and Sims immediately had to pee after drinking. Getting rid entirely of the thirst system looks like a lazy solution to a layered problem.
I micro-manage my Sims already, and I really don't feel like adding "drinking water" to the list, because, as much as it makes sense with the trend of reminding each others to drink water, I personally feel thirsty all the time, and I do collect glasses of water in my apartment like a Sim. Or like Sims used to do.
But perhaps it's all a ploy from the Alto corporation to keep water for AI use, I don't know.
I'll end this feedback with a friendly reminder to clean your spoilt glasses of water IRL :D
