Disable Daily Rewards Pop-Ups at Main Menu

OK, I am legit getting very aggrivated with the daily rewards pop-ups that keep appearing every time I launch The Sims 4! There needs to be an option to opt-out of this like with the SDX updates, because I honestly have ZERO interest in this! Every time I launch The Sims 4 now or just going to the main menu after exiting, I'm constantly spamming the ESC key just to get it out of my face and it drives me nuts!! I seriously doubt claiming the rewards will make this go away. Has anyone even made a mod that prevents pop-ups at the main menu from appearing entirely? This actually feels like YouTube Ads with how this is being pushed out, like is The Sims 4 about playing the game or getting stuff for the game!?

EA, PLEASE make an option to opt out of this or I will have abandon this game entirely!!

  • @Yuke2001 the pop ups do indeed stop once you've claimed the free content. When the next item becomes available for you it will only pop up again and remind you to claim. I found I had to select Claim on the first page, then again on the item list. Once that Claim week has ended and you have your items it will stop popping up and will only start again when the next week starts. It has no reason to keep popping up once you've claimed.

If you haven't claimed your items it's probably just reminding you that there is a free "gift" waiting for you. It's all useful content IMO and I've used all of it in my game especially the nano can and throw pillows.

But if you claimed your items and still get pop-ups then that shouldn't happen but you'd need to report back on that if it's something that needs to be addressed. So pop to our Game Issues section to report anything you think may not be working as it should.

I've completed the event and have had zero pop ups since. I just have Freezer Bunny in the corner of the home screen but that's all.

    Hope this helps.

Yeah, it may be free stuff, but I still don't want it, I just want that big prompt to never appear again so I can actually enjoy The Sims 4 in peace. Also, the daily rewards are saved to your local drive and not within your account, so it pretty much is pointless to me.

They really need to add an option to opt out of it entirely for those who don't want to partake in this, because I know there are people, especially long time Sims Players, who don't want this.

It actually irritates me even more than that dreaded shopping cart icon that was added in late February 2024, which I don't ever see anymore since I installed a mod to remove it entirely.

Like I said, is The Sims 4 about playing the game or about getting stuff for the game??

@Yuke2001 Perhaps as the events evolve and start to potentially also include quests (as hinted at in the info) then they might add an opt out option for players who don't want to participate. Perhaps also a modder will come up with an opt out button too for PC players like with the shopping basket (which I ignore but am not such a fan of).

But if the pop ups are bothering you then all you can currently do is claim the rewards and that will stop the messages as I mentioned earlier. You only get a few in one week and that's it, at least then it will stop popping up for you... until there's another gift waiting. Or you can wait until the event is over and then it's gone, you'll probably have seen the timer on the home screen too so you'll know how long that is.

The attached FAQ link tells you how to move the reward items to another computer if you are on PC if that's another concern you have.
