City life cycle, Construction & Renovation
Hi,
Evergreen Harbor is the only world who can evolve depending on the Eco Footprint.
I think it's very weird to live in a "frozen in time" world, 10 generations later nothing changed in city.
I propose the same level of change as Evergreen Harbor but at a way slower pace.
- Evolution of rabbithole businesses (Random) : It used to be a Movie Theater but the new owner turn it into something else.
- Effects of time : Building are dirty and damaged until a facade renovation
- Bulldozed building and new Construction : The city is alive.
- Maybe to add a life cycle to playable lots : At some point the house will fall apart if nothing is done.
- Sims building houses by themselves : Lower cost for material but slower process than B/B mode drag&drop. At the end obtaining a better quality house for sims with Handiness skill lvl 10.
For example the world could be :
- Old Downtown Ruins : The town have been abandoned for years during the Industrial but the sims are coming back and decide to restore its old glory.
- New City Construction Site : A modern neighborhood under construction
- Suburb of Temporary Accommodations : Where the sims can temporarily live until their home is entirely built.
Start a life in a city from its beginning to its end ? (The players can decide to let the city die):
- the parents will live in a city under construction
- their children will grow up in a new city
- their grandchildren will grow up in a fully functional city
- their great grandchildren will grow up in a city who is slowly deteriorating
- the next generation will see it falling apart
- the next generation will see people give up and leaving the city (or people deciding to refresh it and give it a second life, players decide its fate).
- the next generation could be the last sims living in this city.
