As someone who it took 24hrs to get back in game, I understand the frustration. But people were in game during the time I was locked out due to the update, so I figure the game/system and it's updating initiation is fine, weird, not great, to bad—depending on the system, CC/Mods/etc. I took my mods out well before the update, and repaired over a dozen times, I tried a few this and that, but it still took all of this and over 24hours to get back in the game, and my system is new as of this year with enough space, and not too many other applications on the same drive.
But we also need bug fixes and updates, badly!
So this is a double edged sword, and I don't know if there is any easy answers or fixes. But they can't—not try to fix bugs and not improve gameplay either.
What grinds my gears is the lack of communication in the official forums, they are more likely to post generic posts on third party sites instead. I miss the days where a gaming company had reps on the forums, and communication/responses were fairly common place. Yes, we get blog update posts but newsletters on how well they are doing and trying, doesn't always cut the mustard, compared to direct responses to user posts by reps.
