EA should give Outdoor Retreat a refresh. Nothing crazy, with the main thing being a liveable version of the world. Keep the current version of the world available as a vacation world but add another copy of the world to the main(not vacation) map, update it to include swimmable water.
Then add a couple of basic bb items such as a line of sleeping bags and hammocks. Maybe a metal detector that could work similar to the scanner in Strangerville
What I would like to see in an Outdoor Retreat:
Bumping this and adding that Herbalism from this pack is worthless and needs a huge overhaul. Most of the recipes are only useful while in that forest and no where else. By far the most useful recipe is the fertilizer one but then you can't use it on plants because of changes made by later packs.

Another feature to add to an [OR] refresh is the ability to dry fruit in the oven and make Trail Mixes to take on hikes. That could be an easy addition to implement.
Kids could draw bugs, bears and forest scenes on the Activity Table.

100% agree! It doesn't have to be a lot edited at all, just add some functionality to this pack retroactively. I'd also love if they gave OR the natural living skill too, or an approximation, because they gave EbN herbalism, ahem, the apothecary career, and they're giving Adventure Awaits butterflies. I'd also love if they updated the graphics on the chipmunks that run throughout Granite Falls too to be a little cuter/less blocky.
Yes!! To swimming in the lake . Also the water sports that came with island living, and kayaking that is coming in the new pack would fit great in this pack.
Would be great if they made it livable like regular worlds and added swimming spots. Would also love if they added a chance for wolves or bears to scare your sims, like a lot challenge.
Agreed, all it really needs is insects in all worlds and a nicer container for them- and the new butterfly net animation t be used when catching them.
The pack does what it says on the tin. It's an underwhelming tin, but it never claimed to be anything more than that. If anything, now that rentals have been base game for a long, long time- it should just be given away for free, IMO.
All I want from OR in an update is unique thumbnails for insects (instead of the generic placeholder), insects available in all worlds, and if possible a better looking insect container (for collection displaying).
