1) I feel like a pack placed on a medieval setting and inspired by RPGs could provide a whole new experience in The Sims 4. This pack could feature that are already existent on other packs:
- Quests from NPC across the world (like CoL, EbN, etc.) - Perk tree for heroes based on RPG classes - Bosses and mini bosses (like Strangerville) - Cross-compatibility occult packs - Weapons and combat (like in GF and JTB) - More face customization (to create orcs/ monsters)
2)Some frequent and famous requests here in the forums that could have a place in a pack like this:
- Medieval world/gameplay - Royal gameplay - Dragons - Unicorns - Expanded off the grid gameplay - No phones - Fairytales - Ballet - Occult hunter gameplay - Mystical pond effects
3)And finally some famous inspirations that could (and should) be considerated for this pack:
- Dragon Age - Fairytales - The Witcher - Castlevania - Lord of the Rings - Game of Thrones - Dungeons and Dragons - World of Warcraft - Baldurs Gate 3
I am a fan of Dragon Age, well at least Origins (but a fan of DA2/DAI imports) XD So I'd love DA references.
DAI some Vivienne Outfits mage (spellcaster).
I did have a post with Medieval Pack ideas (Fantasy/Sci-Fi/etc. Themed Packs | EA Forums - 12327880). But to be perfectly honest, even without any of my suggestions a Medieval Pack, is not only needed, it is I think at this point is expected for both an homage to Sims Medieval, and that pop culturally is incredibly popular in gaming, books, shows/movies, etc. especially if they have dragons. There is a lot of people using CC/mods to make there own medieval/royal Sims games, but so much of us are waiting for official content.
In Sims 3 Dragon Valley felt like a tease of what could of been a pack instead of a Sims 3 store world, and I think there is a level of hope and expectation that Sims 4 will let us unplug and play an era based games starting with medieval (with no mobiles phones or computers, and an improved off-the-grid era based game experience).
Also, if they heavily emphasize RoM/Spellcasters cross-pack compatibility, or add official occult hybrids (basically we can customize occults, different combinations have different aspects of each type, and if you get into DNA % colour me impressed) devs would get extra brownie points big time, IMHO. Introducing castable hexes, extended spellbook and maybe an extended ability tree.
- Medieval world: I'd like to see a mix of Windenburg and Henford-on-Bagley. Also an expansion on the Castle Estate kit architecture and actual medieval castle furniture.
- Royal gameplay: Give us royalty tiltles, Power system, a festivals related to the royal lifetyle like political meeting, masquerade, royal family parade, etc.
- Dragons: I think baby dragons or mini dragons (like the familiar from ROM) are the right answer because it'd be too much difficult to add big dragons and make them rideable and interactive.
- Unicorns: We really missed real unicorns on Horse Ranch and Enchanted hy Nature and this could be a great oppprtunity to finally bring it. To differ from the horses from Horse Ramch it could have a medieval look which is someting between a deer, a goat and a horse, but etheral (it could even come with small height referncibg to the unicorns from My Little Pony that are Ponies instead of horses).
- Expanded off the grid gameplay and No phones: We need more irems that functions without electricity an digital distractions along with more diversity of existent off the grid objects that already works that way.
- Fairytales: There's not much features that could be added fort his but i'd really like to see Ella Carlisle back and even a reinterpretation of Sleeping Beauty. I can also see some quests being centered aroun fairytales. But the main thing for it is to bring fantastical B/B objects like candy furniture (for Hansel and Gretel, and Land of sweets from Nutcracker), Wonderlandian furniture, furniture taken over by brier roses, more crystal-like objects like the Emerald City, etc.
- Ballet: Very related to the french monarchy and used on fairytales plays like Swan lake, Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, 12 Dancing Princesses, etc.
- Occult searcher/student/hunter: The occults pack really missed the "human" side of occult world like searching about creatures, discivering their secrets and sometimes fighting them. I'd like more things like Vampiric Lore skill, "Ask if mermaid" interaction, "Discovered" moodlets, etc. for all occults.
- Mystical pond effects: This one is my request because i felt like Enchanted by Nature could really have used them to explore more the diverse aspects of fae folk beyond fairies/pixies and add more cultural legends in the game.
BONUS: - Pirates: Really related to monarchies and medieval-early modern scenarios. It'd be great to expand Princess Cordelia's lore with the pirates and add more mundane things to do.
I think if we had baby dragons similar to Sims 3 dragons, where we had eggs and deepening on interactions depends on what type is hatched would be one option, or breeding/cross breeding types. We wouldn't need to have CASable dragons as a pet as long as there is a large enough selection or types, and keep it a minor pet. Having elemental types, and hybrid elementals, and breeding common/uncommon/rare as a collection
And if a spellcaster can also have as a familiar, otherwise would act like a small/minor pet. Or certain occults have dragons that compliment as companions (and not just familiars for spellcasters). Different dragons applying different moodlets (instead of a static "one moodlet" as familiars have.)
