GreenOak1357 Appreciate the additional context. I've moved your post over to the feedback boards in the meantime, as this refers more so to a preference on the frequency of NPCs overall, rather than a bug.

    Hey GreenOak1357

Can you let us know if you're experiencing excessive NPC spawning in a particular situation? Some more context and information would be great, or images, if possible. Thanks!

Just pretty much anywhere. The game overproduces npcs in general. I feel they should only be produced when required like for roles.

I always delete them all in the neighborhood bin but it's tiring having to do it so much

I played for several sessions in only one region, didnt leave the house with a sim or camera but the game still created over 50 townies that clog the household manager list. And you can be sure this affects performance. Even if its just the loading time of the household manager.

The game creating new townies and using existing player created sims for small jobs while they are already in careers doesnt seem right. I dont even want townies in my game. I just dont need them. There must be a toggle for this. No new townies and existing unemployed sims COULD be used for small jobs if the player enables them. Disabling yelling vendors outside calender events would greatly improve things for players like me.

I created one full household with detectives and gave them uniforms so they can look like they patrol the streets as cops but the game uses them for small jobs. Meanwhile I deleted an excessive amount of townies who I dont even see.

These systems are unnecessarily connected and overbloat the save with no way to stop it by players.
