Feature Request: Enable Swimming/Bathing in Brindleton Bay Ocean Water

Hi Sims Team and fellow players,

I’d like to suggest a feature update for The Sims 4—specifically for the beautiful Brindleton Bay world from the Cats & Dogs expansion.

Currently, Sims are unable to swim, bathe, or interact with the ocean water in Brindleton Bay the way they can in worlds like Sulani (from Island Living) or Tartosa (from My Wedding Stories). Given the coastal setting, accessible beaches, and charming aesthetic, it feels like a missed opportunity not to let Sims take a swim, sponge bathe, or even have mermaids interact with the bay.

This addition would open up a lot of gameplay for:

• Mermaid Sims and hydration needs
• Nature-loving Sims who prefer bathing outdoors
• Storytellers and builders using beach lots or realistic seaside homes
• Anyone who enjoys immersive and consistent world behaviour

I know Brindleton Bay was created before swimmable oceans were introduced in Island Living, but I hope it’s possible to retroactively update the water to support swimming/bathing—maye in a patch-specific way.
