I was planning on buying the jewelry making stuff pack upon release tomorrow but I changed my mind. I don't want to update my game if the shopping cart button is there. Even if the sims team remove the distracting flashing to help neurodivergent players like me, it will still be a tacky waste of space in the UI until it is fully removed. For any player who has spent any amount of money on packs, having a button in-game suggesting they spend MORE money in the MIDDLE of playing is genuinely insulting and anti-consumer. If the sims team want to advertise to free players who don't own any packs, maybe they should focus on making packs that work properly first? Does the shopping cart recommend packs that are currently broken due to known bugs like Dine Out (NPCs not spawning) and For Rent (known save corruption issues)? I understand big bug fixes like that take time, but to release this distracting and unnecessary feature while they still haven't been fixed is so blatantly greedy. At the end of the day, although I appreciate any efforts to make the game more inclusive to players with disabilities like myself, NO player wants this feature. I genuinely won't update my game or purchase any more packs until it's removed. I don't want to see it while I'm playing, even if the flashing is changed.
