Get rid of cart! No one likes it
Okay, now it's not only flashing distractingly while I try to play, it's started to pop open little messages that block my screen so I can't click on anything in the top right. Can you please move the ad out of the way of the game play?

A new form of in-game ad is coming with Lovestruck. The date activity picker includes activities from packs you may not own, and if you hover over the icon, it tells you which pack it's from:
So, like the shopping cart, but worse because now you're paying to put this ad in your game.
It's probably only a matter of time until they extend this idea to existing features like the Seasons holiday activity picker, the Events activity picker, and maybe even CAS and BB.
- LadyAofPineapple2 years agoSeasoned Ace@PandoraTO At least this makes sense (a little). The cart is just an abomination, lol. I don't like either version of in-game ads though, and I did notice in CAS, if you sort by pack, it does show packs I don't own (now that I've stopped buying them due to the cart issue). It doesn't show the clothes in those packs, however, so that's good at least. Can you imagine having to sort through pages of unowned clothes for people who own only the free version of the game?

@LadyAofPineappleI can not imagine that this feature will make people buy any sort of pack - but maybe I am just too old to swim in this ocean of intrusive advertisements. But I fear that this is what EA will do in the future….
- PhillipaErdnuss2 years agoSeasoned Ace@PandoraTO What a horror-thing to do of EA. Rub our noses in what we don‘t own. What I don‘t own for a good reason. And I fear like you, that they will place that feature in all the games who didn‘t bought Lovestruck then. Calling it a cool feature then. That’s what I call horrible.

I agree that this pushing of activities that require packs you don't have to our face WHILE IN LIVE MODE was in VERY bad taste to add, especially since they ignore the numerous complains about the shopping cart. It really rubs in how little they care about any feedback regarding to their nasty marketing. Constant aggressive popups at main menu that freeze the game if you click on the wrong spot, the flashing cart button, and now this. It's getting worse and worse.
