Fewer Base Game Trees in New Worlds

Ciudad Enamorada...almost entirely made up of base game trees.

Ravenwood...almost entirely made up of base game trees.

Basically every world...almost entirely made up of base game trees.

I'm so, so, so tired of base game trees all over the place. It makes worlds lose a lot of unique visual identity when the vague blob of the local flora is always the same few base game trees. When the next expansion comes out...is that magical forest going to be a blob of base game trees?

PLEASE start making more new trees for new environments.

  • And now we have the reveal of the next world, and it is...

So covered in base game foliage that one neighborhood is all the exact same shade of green from top to bottom.

Which is a problem in itself (there's no visual contrast here), but it's certainly not helped by constant, repeated usage of base game trees. Surely there is room in the budget to give these places new trees.

  • Innisgreen suffered a bit from this, and now we have glimpses of the next new world...and it is drowning in base game trees.

Despite, supposedly, being the highest budget pack ever made for the series.

Yall cant toss 20 bucks into the "new tree fund" every couple weeks until you can afford to make a new tree?

  • I don't really mind that there are no new trees, though I would like to see some trees that are visually much bigger than the ones we currently have in game. Old chestnut or walnut trees for example. Most trees in game look like newly planted saplings you see in new neighbourhoods. I have trees in my neighbourhood that are like 4-5, even 6 floors high. Would also be nice if trees changed with season, like cherry trees only bloom in the spring, and poplars release the white seed fluff during spring, and chestnut trees drop chestnuts in autumn, and linden trees smell sweet in summer. If they come with interactions like climb tree, or attract squirrels or birds you can watch of feed, or if you can hang a swing on them, or rescue a cat from them, it would be even better. I was so bummed when they offered only a large tree stump in San Sequoia.

  • Could you give a suggestion list of trees you might like in the game that aren't currently? I think that might be a bit more helpful. To help I'll suggest a couple

    • Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia)
    • Fringe Tree (Chionanthus virginicus)
    • Goldenball Leadtree (Leucaena retusa)
    • Texas Redbud (Cercis canadensis var. texensis)
  • New world, old trees.

    Next new world features:

    Base game birch tree.

    Base game lavender.

    Base game random flowers.

Blurry base game trees and ground shrubs.

    base game palm trees.

    base game pine trees.

New Zealand does not have the same plants as New Orleans.
