FIX THE GAME

It amazes me that we continue to support this game by spending our time & money on a product from a company that can't make their own game work! With every update, the game gets worse and worse with no solution of old bugs & getting swarmed by new ones. Very simple base game ones at that! Has EA fired all their game developers, coders, testers etc....I just am not understanding how they are failing this horribly.

Hi, this is just a long rant! Now, don't get me wrong. I LOVE the sims. I've been playing for a few years now and it truly is one of my favorite things. However, I am getting irritated with the lack of care EA has for the game. I don't want new packs or **bleep**ty made kits--I want the actual game itself FIXED! I've never understood why EA chooses to crank out more and more overly expensive kits and expansion packs just to get money, rather than fixing their game and performance issues. At the end of the day, it's just lack of care. All they seem to care about is profit. Players have been voicing their frustrations for years, begging for bug fixes and updates to core gameplay mechanics--but those pleas constantly fall on deaf ears. Instead of addressing the broken features we ALREADY PAID for, EA throws together rushed content and expects us to fork over even more money. It's exhausting. I love this game so much, and it hurts to see it neglected like this. The community deserves better. We’re not asking for much--just a stable, functional game that lives up to its potential. And do NOT get me started on them SOMEHOW just getting rid of pregnancy?? Do they just not have gameplay testers???

I've stopped supporting them for a little while now.  The cart button was my "enough ! "

I'm sorry but EA HAS to do better if they want new and old gamers to invest in a 11 year old game.

I respect your points in feedback.

Sims 4 today...is a mess with every update.

There's no money to be made in the future with a buggy game.

How many bugs do you think are in this game right now after the last update?

You don't have to answer....i have a rough estimate.

It's true that we've gotten a lot of good things, and I appreciate them! But that doesn't really excuse the new, visible, game-breaking bugs every major patch (like the current issue with the pregnancy object state being <removed> deleted)- we're at the point where a lot of players actually dread patch day rather than anticipating it, and that's not a normal or healthy state for a game to be in.

I really wish people would stop rushing to buy every new pack, especially when we can no longer trust that they'll work as intended on release. The only thing EA will listen to is money.

Whoops, thought the censor symbols would be enough! My bad.

  • The game has gotten more fixes more often than ever for the past year and a half in an ongoing more-fixes-more-often-than-ever movement they initially only intended to do for 6 months but have continued another 12.

They can't really be doing better than they are right now tbh, the fixes we've gotten have been critical and very good, including full performance updates that bring the game to a better-than-launch level of performant behavior.
