I see why, according to web, Nikau on it's own means slave and scoundrel in Maori which can be a sensitive topic to some people but it's very rare that people outside of Maori islands like New Zealand will know what it means. Also, you are correct, your country's only native palm shouldn't be filtered because of the other meaning.
