Personally, I'd be thrilled if the dev team took one of my suggestions.
They locked because you necro-posted a 6 year old post. It is very common practice, I see it all the time.
I spent years saying in threads about Fairies in Sims 4 that they couldn't do Fairies in a way I'd be satisfied with because it would require a whole expansion pack... then Enchanted by Nature came along, and while I'm still not actually satisfied with how they did fairies (where are the redcaps? why do they all float even when they don't have wings? I could go on.) I will acknowledge that it is a far more flexible system than I expected and a viable compromise between Folkloric Fae and Player expectations.
Did they listen to me? I don't know, and honestly, I don't care that much. I'm reasonably certain that part of the TOS for the forums is that EA can and does read them and that Ideas posted here are fair game, and that said item also applied to the old forums (where I'm actually more sure it existed)
I'm just hoping that if Cars and/or Bands are coming, they can listen to me again and do a "Sims 4 On Tour" expansion with both...
As for the thread being locked, that's probably just part of the "no Necroposting" policy. 6 years old is a dead thread, and if I didn't think they had better things to do, having someone go through and lock all threads that haven't had a post in 24 months would probably save everyone a lot of headache.
