I want to scream
I am sick and tired of just sitting here watching the game that I have played for over ten years betray me. I just want to play the game. I have bought nearly every Sims 4 DLC that EA has thrown at me because I adore this game. It has been my comfort, my relaxation, my creativity for most of my life. All I want to do is play, and EA just makes it more and more unplayable to the point where I won't buy anything else in fear that it will only continue to break my game and my heart. I can't buy a product that I don't believe will even work or be worth my money. Every pack gets worse, and the quality has gone down. I just want to play. My game keeps crashing, bugs are breaking the game and making it unplayable, micro transactions, so many updates that just keep killing mods. Paying Markers next to nothing for their work. Everything about EA just stinks. The smell of greed is making me sick. I'd keep giving you money if only "your" game worked, if only I could play when I wanted to. I find myself just sitting there with the Sims launched. I look at the screen and wonder why it feels so wrong, why I can't have fun. It's because of the smell of greed, a smell that always tickled my nose, all the way back in the day when I was a tiny tot playing Sims 2 and 3. All "these" (the ones making the game bad) people care about is the money. The people who put love into this game don't have enough power over it, and they can't stop these evil things from happening to their art. They are just cogs in the Corporate War Machine doomed to watch a world play with money as real as simoleans with real people like they are sims.
I will now list specific issues I have had recently when playing.
- The inventory system in my game broke. I couldn't move, remove, or sell anything in the inventory. Stopped playing for a few days after trying bug fixes with no improvement, and it was working again.
- In the most recent event their was a lady who kept showing up no matter how many times I told her to leave. Nearly every event has had bugs that make the game unfun for me.
- I hated a CAS texture glitch where I couldn't change the werewolves nose color. It stayed the same color as their fur.
- My Sims continue to cancel tasks and not do anything I tell them to do.
- Tattoos sometimes get stuck in CAS. Even when you remove them all. They somehow come back.I have had to start over because of tattoos I put on as a joke not wanting to come off, a little to real for my liking.
- Eye colors get stuck and won't change in CAS. Children seem to have this problem the most.
- Sometimes I get this weird bug in build mode where I go to place an item, and it disappears from my hand before I can place it. If I place the item fast enough, enough times, the bug will sometimes fix itself.
- My simoleans sometimes get stuck at 999,999,999? I have to teach it back down.
- Sometimes the call of work/ take a sick day/ take a vacation is missing. Even if I have extra days off.
- My frogs didn't have bodies for two years! They were just glowing eyes for the longest time, then one day, boom somehow had bodies again.
- Infants getting stuck in parent hands.
- Refusing to give toddlers baths with no pathing issues.
- In CAS, there is a male shirt in one of the newer DLC that breaks their thumbs.
- In CAS, several items have texture glitches when worn with jewelry.
- After adopting a pet, the carrier they came in never goes away.
- The toddler tablet glitches out and floats in the air. Stuck there, making me lose them more than I already do when my toddlers just leave them somewhere randomly around the lot.
- Sometimes kids and teens get stuck at school, come home late, or never.
- In CAS, I get this bug where Occult exclusive items get stuck on both forms of occult sims.
- Often holidays never happen, the options to do the holiday stuff never appears even when set or never changed from base settings.
- My Sims sometimes refuse to go to work (or school), I click go, and they just stand there.
- I have watched my Sims walk into the map many times, unable to reset them before they disappear beyond the map.
Will add more if I think of them.
