Idea: An Official The Sims 4 Art Book
I love collecting all the pieces of concept art that have been made public throughout the last decade of The Sims 4's existence. Like any other video game, tons of different artists have put a lot of work and love into designing all aspects of The Sims 4, from individual objects and clothes all the way to entire neighborhoods and UI elements.
The Sims 4 set out with its own specific style, but that style must have gone through various iterations, ideas and concepts that we the public do not know of. While the art style of this game is a dividing topic amongst simmers, I personally am quite fond of it. To be able to see, and even better, read how the style of the game was envisioned and iterated on would be so cool. Honestly! I'm sure plenty of artists and art directors would have a lot to say about the art of the game and all of its DLC, and in general give us a look into how they envision and think about the various designs of the game during development.
The same process of ideation, exploration, and iteration applies to pretty much everything in the game, and while shoving every concept art ever made into one book would be an insane and impossible task, showcasing at least the overarching development of the game during the previous years would be phenomenal. There doesn't even have to be a story, really. Or paragraphs worth of text. Just art for art's sake!
I feel like this is the type of thing that should have been given to us during the game's tenth anniversary. But that being behind us shouldn't get in the way of releasing an art book now. And in general, art is art. Having a big thick book of it would do wonders for many, I'm sure.
