Mermaids

Howdy! I am once again asking for a mermaid refresh. Island living is turning 7 years old this year and I am BEGGINGGGGG for a skill tree or more tails or aspirations or please lawd ANYTHING. I felt hope when we got the mermaid bassinets but that’s been it. They’re also still a bit glitchy and swim around like they have legs and that gets weird. EA if you can hear me please please please do better for the merfolk I beg. 

It's been a long long time since I've played with a sim that doesn't have the trait where they don't get wet from the rain but my child mermaid sim aged up into teen last night so came into their true mermaid form and got uncomfortably wet when it rained which kinda doesn't make sense as the rain fills their hydration need, after all that's why they can make it rain and thunderstorm on demand 🤔 I don't know if it's just me miss remembering and it's always been a thing for mermaids without the trait or I've stumbled onto a glitch? Can anyone please clear this up for me? 😁

Different skins/textures for mermaids would be good too, maybe a slightly or heavy scaley all over body texture so we could have a more siren like mermaids.

I recently got IL and I'm playing my first Mermaid. I'm a little disappointed that Merfolk don't have a skill tree. And added on top of that, my Mermaid has the serial romantic aspiration and when I use the Mermaid's kiss on a Sim, it doesn't complete the part where I need to kiss 10 Sims. 

I totally vote revamping Merfolk to be a more focussed occult. 

Totally agree with this one. I only play mermaids and the occasional spellcaster and compared to the latter mermaids are a bit, I hate to say it, boring. I often tend to forget about their abilities cause they're mainly an only in the water thing, apart from the fishing buffs but spellcaster abilities are more prominent and well suited for normal everyday gameplay.

I would expect a mermaid refresh with a new ocean world that allows houseboats. 

Mermaids like to mess with fishermen and sims on boats in general. 🙂

I'd love an ocean/ocean exploring themed pack, so if they decide to add skill tree/flesh out mermaids then—I'd be thrilled :)

That or an occult pack to give love to occults (like adding skill trees to existing occults who are missing them/make PlantSims a permanent life state/etc.) and add missing CAS/Build/Buy for existing occults and their respective packs.
