More Personality Through Food Preferences and Books

Hi, I would love to see the Likes & Dislikes system expanded with food and drink preferences. For example, Sims could like or dislike Italian food, sushi, breakfast, coffee, or tea. This would encourage Sims to choose their favorite meals more often and receive small moodlets based on their preferences.

I would also love to see books create different emotions depending on their genre. Romance novels could make Sims feel flirty, mystery books could make them focused, fantasy books inspired, and sad novels emotional. This would give book genres more purpose and make Sims feel even more unique.

These small additions would add more personality to Sims without making the gameplay more complicated.

I think there may have been a misunderstanding. 😊 I wasn't suggesting changing emotional books that Sims can write. I meant that reading regular books could influence emotions depending on the genre, just like TV channels already do. For example, romance novels could make Sims flirty, mystery books focused, fantasy books inspired, and sad novels emotional.

I think the only issue with this idea is that Sims are already able to write emotional books depending on the mood that your Sim is in but also some of the emotional books unlock for doing certain things. I feel like just having the option for emotional books readily available would take away the challenge of unlocking the options to be able to write emotional books.
