My suggestions for the team for The Sims 4 game

Hi Team,

I have been playing The Sims 4 since 2022 and I am currently on the 12th generation of my main legacy family. As a loyal player, I wanted to share some feedback regarding the new Maker Marketplace and the strategy for future content.

1. ‘Early Purchase’ Items on the Marketplace

I currently own the bonus items for 4 expansion packs (Horse Ranch, For Rent, Lovestruck, Life & Death). However, there are specific items from other packs, like from Growing Together that I missed out on and wanted them.

With the new Marketplace launch, please consider selling these Digital Content sets individually for Moola. Many of us would happily pay 400–900 Moola for just the items we need and supporting The Sims 4 developers’ team even just a little bit.

2. The ‘Dine Out’ Logic vs. Spa Day

The Spa Day refresh was nice, but I believe it didn‘t drive massive sales because the pack was already stable. Most veteran players feel that refreshing a ‘buggy’ pack like Dine Out would be a much better business move.

The common community advice for years has been ‘Don’t buy Dine Out, it’s broken.’ A refresh wouldn’t just be an update; it would be a Reputation Fix that turns thousands of ‘No’s’ into ‘Yes’s’.

If players see that a pack with a broken reputation has actually become high-quality and functional, those of us who have been holding off for years will finally buy it. Fixing a pack‘s reputation sells more copies than polishing a pack that was already good enough.

The Sims 4 is my favourite video game, and I want improvements not just for me, but also for the whole community that also loves The Sims 4. I really hope that you (the team) will read my feedback and try to improve the game in the best way possible you can.

Thank you for listening to the community.

  • My suggestions would be to remove the market place nobody asked for, at the very least remove in game advertisements for it so it's only on the launch screen same with the infernal shopping cart too.

And of course, pay creators a fair price for their work. 30% is very disrespectful, they do all the work.
