crinrict, the big issue I have with the event thus far is that I have 2 of the packs, and to my recollection, I only had one optional quest available and it was the only time I could participate in an optional quest. The rest of the time often, I was hit with the Horse Ranch stuff, a pack I don't own. I don't recall if there was any other optional quest (if I did it at all), but I only recall consciously doing just the one.
IDK if this was intentional or RNG, and whether this is what everyone got, but this is pretty much some kind of bias one way or another. What I do know is that at the end somehow, I ended up getting 2 beans, saw a mention of a PlantSim which left this event with some kind of lore cliffhanger with that which made this feel incomplete/premature, and have one uncollected reward. IDK what part of the math here doesn't add up, but there are some obvious issues involved that make this pretty messy.
It is understandable for people who don't have any of the paid packs or completely skipped out on them in spite of it, but if it doesn't cater to people who do and but can't actively participate when it doesn't offer it at all the entire time, what is the point of the event? I noticed a few times as well I was able to "complete" some regular quests automatically and because of that, I was careful to try to avoid triggering that before the optional quests were done. Every other time, i just obviously couldn't get past that stage. So it's possible this is also one other element that might've also accidentally skipped out or completed an optional quest on me (which if that were the case at all, I didn't see it). I just do know that often it didn't look like i could do the quests except for the one. Overall in this run, this was an awful way to run an event besides every other issue with it. In fact, I agree it does look dirty. It doesn't look like this event was tested well, if at all.
