I'd like to see several hunting, gathering, and homesteading features added to the game to enhance historical themed gameplay. The game isn't very realistic as far as item acquisition is concerned. Sims can simply order items from a computer, craft some items (but no ingredients are need), or prepare single serving products. Sims can garden and collect harvestables, but can't gather wood for fires or woodworking. Sime can cross - stitch, but don't need to use wool or thread. Sims can produce canned goods and prepped ingredients in bulk quantities, but sims can't craft multiple serving herbalism potions or pet food. If a sim living off the grid, they should be able to order items via the mailbox and have them delivered or order items from interactive shells. I thought the cottage living interactive shells would have more functionality, however, they don't actually do anything. Sims should be more self - sufficient. They should be able to mill items such as flour and sugar, sew clothing, and gather materials for crafting.
