I don't want EA to represent my continent unless it's done right.
Sims 3 Egypt was safe gameplay in my opinion. Africa is a continent... not a country.
I definitely get it but it does give them a chance to work closely with Black people across the diaspora not just American. And yes! Africa is definitely a continent so they have atleast 54 countries to choose from. But I definitely can see the uncertainty of them portraying it and I can honestly even understand why they haven't stepped out of Egypt.
Portraying Black People...or Indeginous Africans is extremely touchy given the history in this continent.
A gaming production studio dose not take this lightly and will not take this lightly.
I have faith that EA will jump on these ideas when they can promote them correctly without offending players.
Portraying an African race or Black People in a video game is a very delicate process.
The team will still get backlash...even if they do it respectfully.
