suepixels, the reasoning is because certain things can only be referenced. They don't explicitly call things exactly what they are IRL. The only way it could be referenced is by a moodlet, and I already dislike those since they are so easy to manipulate. I also play this franchise to relax, not to be reminded of complete realism.

I like mixing realism with fantasy(occults) in my gameplay in order find creative escapism in this game.
I want to explore every aspect of the game therefore my occults live among the normies. Everyone thrives and gets along in my worlds...most of the time.
