I feel like they really didn’t think it through when they added open relationships. I have Growing Together and I’ve been getting really annoyed that my Sims get the Had an Affair milestone with its accompanying tense Cheated moodlet despite being in an open relationship. I haven’t tried it myself, but I’ve also read that the open relationship mechanic doesn’t work at all with the Loyal trait. It’s super annoying that they added a mechanic that doesn’t work with other mechanics.
