I would like to be able to place and use telescopes under a roof. I know we could do this in sims 2. Especially for apartments it would be nice to be able to use them indoors or on a covered balcony.
How about disabling the death chance in those cases. Allow players to choose risky open air telescopes or sheltered safe telescopes.
The coding is relying on the telescopes being outside, which is why it is that way. You can always use the move objects cheat to put it anywhere. I know it is still usable on a patio balcony that way. I doubt it is usable inside, but it can be used as a decorative object with the cheat.
