make a box to check that makes the sims stop autonomously using their phone. they already have short lives and they spend half of that life on the stupid phone, like real, stupid people. I play the sims to get away from real people who are addicted to their phone. please just make this stop. it isn't fun or neat or cute, it's just dumb.

Also, they said they fixed the constant phone usage in a recent patch but it is NOT fixed! Maybe they adjusted the tuning a tiny bit but it WASN’T ENOUGH! 🤦🏻♀️ I enjoy using first person mode now and then but the phone usage ruins it 😭
I have a mod that makes it so only teens use/look at their phones while young adult-elder don't. It still works and is a nice relief from seeing everyone constantly looking at their phones. But would be nice to have an official in game option vs a mod that could one day be rendered useless.
I haven't seen that mod, but it sounds like a solid option! Bienchen has a mod I use that disables all autonomous phone use and at least for the time being...it works like a charm. (Really makes a huge difference for historical gameplay/challenges, too.) I always forget how bothersome that idle is until I have to play without mods for some reason or other. It never takes long before I'm reminded 🙃
Yeah, they only lowered the chance for the idle. My vanilla sims take the phone a little less out if they talk. Still, I dislike this idle and is a shame we need a mod to remove it. Why can the player not decision if they want this stupid idle or not? Not all people want to mod and console player can’t mod.
Stop the constant phone checking, I know it's the modern day now but there's enough of the heads down in the phone in the real world to have it here, you could be playing in sulani or the magic world and all they want to do is look at their phone, replace that animation for "admire surroundings" or "look at the massive volcano I live next to yet noone takes notice of or even acknowledges"
