you can edit your post but like someone have said:

necroposting is replying to a post which is inactive for years

creating your own post (like you did) doesn't count as necroposting

if you have doubts on an inactive post you can always report them, i do this all the times (i try not to overdo it though)

by the way: since like a month or 2 you can ask the team to merge your post in its other existing posts (they do that sometimes)
