vacation rental update and real estate pack
There are 2 systems that I believe EA should expand to enhance gameplay: the vacation system and the ownable business system. Here is a list of suggested features. Vacation system Introduce hotel venue type. Instead of paying to rent a vacation home, sims can check into a hotel. The fee will be similar however, the experience will offer more dynamic gameplay. Sims will need to book a vacation, travel to the hotel, and " check - in." Room access will be controlled by key cards, which the sims need to have in their inventory to access their room. The hotel will spawn NPC guests and employees that played households can interact with. Hotels will offer a variety of services such as: housekeeping, room service, ice machines, and in - ground hot tubs. For areas like Selvadorada, where mostly locals will spawn, there will be a better experience as other types of NPCs will spawn in the area. Introduce vacation home venue type. Unlike vacation rentals, played households can buy a second home outright that they will own. It can't be lived in, since it's not a residential lot. However, anytime the household plans a vacation, they can now select their owned vacation home in addition to vacation rentals and hotels. Introduce a cruise ship interactive shell. The cruise ship will function like a hotel, only it will be a new waterfront venue type. The shell will be shaped like a cruise ship, so like an apartment, the exterior can't be customized, but the interior can be customized. The cruise ship will spawn NPC employees and guests like a hotel, offer services like a hotel, but also offer access to the ocean (like beaches) so sims can enjoy water sports. Sims will also experience motion sickness and other buffs related to traveling on the ocean. Ownable business system There are currently several packs that introduce new venue types that can be purchased and used to operate a business. They are pretty intensive and require full time management. Players are required to travel to the lot, open their business, and provide goods and/or services to satisfy customers. However, I believe the game should expand upon this by introducing a real estate system. Players can manage residential and commercial venues that are currently unowned and unoccupied, hold events to find perspective buyers, and then make a sell and earn a commission. Real estate system will feature a 10 - level career with 2 branches, new skills, new events, and a dynamic gameplay experience. Real estate career will focus on property management and client management. The starting levels of the career will focus on skill building: improving handiness so that repairs and upgrades can be made to properties, improving charisma to have more success with making sells and getting a bigger commission, and writing skills for creating brochures and advertisements for "open house" and "launch" events. The career will have 2 branches: real estate agent and business tycoon. The real estate agent branch will focus on managing residential properties. Tasks will include organizing "open house events" and getting perspective clients to purchase or rent residential properties. The player will need to make the property look presentable, make sells at open house events, and then handle various situations after the sell such as foreclosures, homeowner's insurance claims, and putting the property back on the market it the client isn't satisfied. The business tycoon branch will focus on managing commercial venues. Tasks will include making the properties presentable, hosting launch events to find perspective buyers, and then assisting the owner with advertisements, insurance claims, upgrades, and repairs to help the business flourish. Like residential venues, commercial venues can also go into foreclosure and the client might put it back on the market. Various commercial lots such as bars, cafe, nightclubs, etc. will now be venues can be sold and managed in the real estate career.69Views8likes7CommentsPack Refreshes and More Pet Options
I would really love some pack refreshes on some older packs that were a bit bare bones compared to the more current ones filled with many options to explore. Get to work aliens for example have very little to do on planet sixam and there isn't a lot of gameplay options for them, plus more jobs you can join your sim on would be awesome, more things to do with vampires would be wonderful as well, and I know we have goats and sheep bit why no piggies? Everyone loves piggies. And we need more small pet options like different birds, snakes, so forth with lots of interactions to make it extra fun. Just my take on it.27Views2likes1Commentmultiple pack career refresh
So, careers in the sims are becoming very stale. There are many packs adding new ways to make money, where the sim doesn't have to be employed. Sims can cook and sell dishes via the food sales table, craft and sell items via plopsy or sales table, raise livestock and garden and sell items to grocery stall, and even take odd jobs. As far as actual careers go, I think many need to be remade to add new branches Base game astronaut: add an aeronautic engineer branch. This branch will focus on the rocket science skill and allow sims to desig blueprints for new rocketship models. The lack of rocketship models is frustrating. Firstly, travel to sixam is possible with GTW, though not very exciting, since it is just a lot with some collectibles. Sixam should be a destination world with NPC aliens and quest, but I digress. Like the scientist career, aeronautic engineers would have to think up new ideas for rocketship blueprints, collect materials, and then craft their new invention. criminal: add a burglar branch: this branch will introduce a new lockpick skill, allowing sims to pick locks on doors and safes (if get famous is installed) and burglary skill, which will influence the success rate of stealing valuable objects and disabling security features. There will also be new build mode objects such as functional security cameras, laser grids, and multi tools (a gadget for disabling security systems). Sims will be able to break and enter residential and community lots and steal a variety of items. Sims can also plan a heist, which involves staking out target venues in order to: identify entry and exit points, check the location of security cameras, alarms, and laser grids, and crafting multi tools. Planning a heist will improve the burglary skill and increase the success rate of lockpicking, disabling security systems, and navigating laser grids. culinary: add a barista branch. The barista branch will introduce a new barista skill and coffee bean harvestable Sims will now be able to grow coffee beans, create coffee blends, and unlock new food and drink recipes for the espresso bar. Like the mixology skill, improving the barista skill allows you to work with more coffee blends, create better quality food, and drinks, and unlock recipes. With the addition of the cozy bistro kit, I think there should be a barista branch/skill to match the aesthetic. entertainer: add singer branch and DJ branch. City living introduced the karaoke machine and singing skill and get together introduced the DJ booth and dj mixing skill. I think there should be a singer career so that sims can perform songs at microphones in lounges and a DJ branch, so sims can work at nightclubs. painter: add graffiti artist branch. City Living introduced the mural/spray paint object which allows sims to improve painting skill by making graffiti on murals. However, I believe this should have its own branch and allow sims to not only, spray paint on murals, but also on the ground and on walls. Sims can also get disciplined in parenthood in installed for making graffiti in places other than murals. writer: add graphic artist branch. This branch will focus on creating graphic and visual novels. The graphic novel will be like a comic series, released in chapters and can have various themes (I recommend a void critter graphic novel). The visual novel will be an electronic interactive novel series, released as chapters and can have various themes (I recommend martial arts/superpowers). Visual novels can be accessed via phone, computer, or tablet. This branch will also incorporate the painting skill, as in addition to writing a storyline, illustrations now have to be drawn as well. athlete: add a figure skating career (seasons). Self - explanatory. The skating rink is underutilized, and I also don't like the idea of only being able to improve fitness at a gym. I like that discover university introduced the soccer branch. Eco lifestyle engineer: eco engineer branch. This branch will allow sims to design and craft new types of environmental equipment. Sims will have to design blueprints, gather materials, and craft their new inventions. New items include: air filter (to filter smog), kinetic generator (essentially an exercise bike with a generator attached) which allows sims to improve fitness skill and generate energy, water pumps (similar to horse ranch rancher's water feature). Seasons gardener: add ikebana branch to flower arranging. The ikebana branch will match the aesthetic of snowy escape pack.49Views3likes2CommentsSeems like something is missing in these packs
So there are several packs, where it seems like there is something missing. Seasons: figure skating career. It would be nice if there was a new branch for the athlete career that allow sims to work as figure skaters. Discover University added the soccer branch. I think the skating rinks are underutilized. Get together: Dancer career. I really think there should be a dance career with multiple branches. The branches could be dance teacher branch (allowing sims to run a dance studio), ballet branch, and salsa branch. The various dance styles would come with multiple routines you could unlock as you increase the dance skill. Cottage living: why is there no mill appliance and harvestables for wheat and sugar cane? I mean, yes commercial enterprise is fine. There's a garden and grocery stall, but what about self- sufficiency? I would like to be able to mill flour and sugar. Horse ranch: there should be an equestrian career and boarding stable venue type. If you didn't want to participate in competitions, but still wanted to earn money from the horse - riding skill, you could run a boarding stable. NPC horse owners would spawn at the venue to take horse riding lessons and stable their horses for training and care. The player could "rent" stable stalls (like apt units) and run a business (similar to a vet clinic), but it's a stable. High school years: so about sending child sims to school. Discover University: soccer should have soccer goals. Players could challenge other sims to soccer matches. Essentially a soccer match is seeing who can score more goals. Doesn't actually require a team, but like it's so not interesting just watching the sims kick the ball. Realm of magic: why are cauldrons so big? At least add a mini cauldron that can fit on counters. Also add more cauldron recipes for soups and stews. Werewolves: there should be more sewer related buildbuy items. Seriously, add manhole covers, more doors and windows, and sewer grates. Cool kitchen: if there is ice cream, we should be able to craft sundaes and milkshakes.35Views1like2Comments"Private" toggle for CAS outfits, please!
With the release of Lovestruck and Sweet Slumber Party and, frankly, watching one of lilsimsie's Sims plead with the Grim Reaper in her lingerie this week I'd love to see a "Private" button on CAS items or fits so each Sim can decide what they're comfortable with. Like when the shoes auto-on/off when they enter the house in For Rent (love that!),they could auto-change into an outfit marked as Private if they are alone in a room, or with a Partner Sim. I love building CAS that feels realistic, and for me that means Sleep outfits for a femme Sim might include: shorts and a Horse Ranch sweater, a t-shirt and underwear bottoms, pants and a bra, a bra and underwear set, a nightgown. Likewise, Sleep outfits for a masc Sim might include: pants and no top, boxers and no top, underwear and a Horse Ranch sweater (it's one of my favourite Sleep tops!), boxers and a t-shirt. But I don't want an Adult shirtless or in their underwear when there are kids around, or Roommates, or Sims from outside their Household. Here are some other reasons a Private toggle for CAS outfits would be so empowering to our Sims (and to Simmers!): A Teen Sim is shy and uncomfortable in their own skin and prefers bulky sweaters in public but is also experimenting with form-fitting CAS in Private A Sim is transitioning and wearing a different Fashion Choice (Feminine or Masculine) in Private An Elder Sim who grew up wearing makeup will always put their makeup on when non-Household Sims are around (Public) A Sim that covers will take their hijab off when they're with their Partner Sim (Private) A Sim on a Sleep Over or Stay-Over will not wear underwear or other Private outfits in other Sims' houses A Sim dresses Preppy or other specific Style in Public and a little more Rocker in Private A Sim prefers a one-piece Swimwear in Public but might wear a two-piece if they were getting in the hot tub with their Partner Sim (Private) A Sim is obsessed with horses (see: Horse Ranch sweater, above) and it's a secret from everyone! But automated. There are lots of opportunities for to use a "Private" toggle on CAS outfits in storytelling! Let me know if you have any additional ideas below!66Views2likes3Comments💡 Ideas > ♻️ Content from The Sims franchise
