Consistency issue: Apothecary craftables should be able to use copypasto
We can duplicate both magical and reward store potions, why can't we duplicate elixirs as well? It seems like a silly oversight with no valid lore reason, power balance is already out of the window because we can copypasto so much OP stuff already, what's one more thing to the list.55Views3likes4CommentsDLC/Add On Transferability
Hey guys, my suggestion would be, to work on making the many many many add ons to this game transferable between systems. It’s not consumer friendly that we have to spend hundreds of dollars multiple times. In my case, I usually plays sims on my laptop, it’s my preferred way to play, however my laptop is broken currently. So I’ve had to move to playing on Xbox for now. Unfortunately that means I’m playing a very naked game now because all the expansions, kits, etc that I bought already for my PC version are collecting dust, because I can’t use them. And to play them on Xbox I’d have to buy them all again. at this point it would be cheaper to fix my laptop rather than buy everything again on Xbox. And I currently don’t have the money for either option. I think many people would appreciate this ability. And in making the coding work to do this, you could focus on finding and fixing all the bugs in the latest expansions you’ve released.27Views0likes3CommentsWhy can't we play the way we want?
I've been around since the Sims 1. Owned everything in both 1, 2 and all the worlds and packs in 3. I have most of 4. I just really started play 4 at the end of last year, simply because it was so limited in the beginning. That said, 4 annoys me in a way none of the others ever did. Why can we not turn off certain features, like occult and aliens? I have MCCC, but they still pop up in my other households. Yes, I understand you need aliens for certain aspects of Strangeville, but again, why must they spawn EVERY SINGLE NIGHT? I bought supernatural expansion packs I really didn't want, but due to limitations in the number of lots, I wanted more choices at a lower price point. Yes, I currently have 272 active sims, and another 400 or so in my other households. For some reason, even though I have Aliens and Occults at 0 and have deleted every single one, I still spend twenty minutes every night having to clean up the mess. It's also spawning others and not pulling from tray (which has over 300 sims in it). I have the tray at 100%. A simple toggle would be fantastic. Same with sexual preferences. Start them blank. There is nothing more irritating than having a sim fall in love with someone, only to be rejected due to preference. I have read that AI will replace most programming jobs. Here's an idea EA, why not get one to clean up the horrible, bloated code in this game, instead of making people wait months for fixes for things you broke? I didn't like Inzoi, and I haven't played Paralives, but you are not longer the only game in town. You have made hundreds of millions of dollars over the years. Why not put some of them back into games people enjoy instead of **bleep** about? I have been playing since 2000, and I this is the first time I've ever started a thread. Do you feel my frustration? You should. There are tens of thousands more like me.49Views0likes2CommentsFantasy/Sci-Fi/etc. Themed Packs
With EbN most of the supernatural Life States are in Sims 4. I would of course like more but a general satisfaction that if you have RoM/V/W/EbN you finally almost have the equivalent to Sims 3 Supernatural. Sims 3 Supernatural (my first Sims 3 pack) is what got me hooked on buying all Sims 3 packs and almost the entire Sims 3 store—so that is why I mention it. But because I am a fantasy/sci-fi based player, non-fantasy/sci-fi packs and packs that do not compliment fantasy/sci-fi type themes don't interest me much—so that means there are more packs I rather skip/not buy than buy (but I am also aware many players feel the opposite too). At least that is what I found in Sims 4, it is easier to skip packs in Sims 4 than Sims 3. Also funny enough, I had no interest in the Journey to Batuu (I mean I probably would like the CAS and Build by the rest of the pack I have zero interest), just the Star Wars universe doesn't really have a place in my Sim worlds (but I might buy it (on sale), if they add a Dystopian EP/GP). With this, new packs are really going to have to impress me to buy, otherwise I need hard convincing just to buy packs when they are on sale. So here are some idea for packs that might interest fantasy/sci-fi/themed game style players and may or may not interest non-fantasy/non-sci-fi/non-themed game style players. Steampunk, bring back inventing that is more tinkerer/eccentric based that can work for past, modern and (dystopian) future themed players. I loved using both Ambitions/WA and the steampunk store packs (including Midnight Hollow) to create a sort of industrial steampunk themed game. This could probably be a GP but you'd wow me if you did a EP. Medieval, also a fan of Dragon Valley and baby dragons. I think many players would love to be technology free (no cell phones/computers/TVs/etc.) especially for a non-ECO off the grid challenge. I'd suggest an EP, make it so you can play past/modern tech (or lack of tech). Underground and/or Underwater Biodome, my fav Sims 2 lot was a the Biodome, I still want to see that again revised. But for a fallout or future playstyle this would be so cool. Or even ocean exploration themed. Space Station/Spaceship, or some Future World. I loved Into the Future and Oasis landing! I miss nanites and the regular or dystopian versions of the future world. Whimsical, I loved the Looking Glass/Wonderland store items, I sort of used Midnight Hollow and utopian future to play an Alice in Wonderland theme game. I'd love a tea party table (I loved the store tea set table). This could be a GP or very least a SP (similar to how Paranormal works) but please not a Kit (it wouldn't be enough to work with). The idea of oversized items, from being shrunk (misses oversized flowers). How to make this work for non-fantasy themed players, theme park lots/capability for themed lots, to keep fantasy Sims in certain worlds/lots similar to werewolves staying in their world. Adventure Worlds, aka Al Simhara, Shang Simla and Champs Les Sims, JA is nice but I really loved these worlds too. This is themed but not fantasy/sci-fi so more people should be able to enjoy.147Views4likes8Commentssims 4 australia pack
i am so desperate to see an Australia-themed sims pack or expansion, with like 3 areas a suburban/city, outback and beach with the classic tin roofs for the outback, with the wraparound porches and simple Australian classic styles and then the vibes of a costal beachy vibe sort of like bondi or woolongong where its just beach and appartments and then a suburban/ outer city area with a mixture of appartments and houses and some town houses. living in australia i never can fully make soemthing like my surroundings everything is just slightly off from australia so it doesnt feel like home.58Views4likes4CommentsThe Sims 4: Jade Realms Expansion Pack
Hi Simmers and Sims Team! I’m so excited to share an idea that’s been on my heart for a while — a China-inspired expansion pack blending modern life, ancient culture, and mystical fantasy, all drawn from the beauty of C-dramas. I know the Sims community is incredibly diverse, and I’d love to see more East Asian representation in the game. Whether or not Maxis sees this soon, I hope it inspires conversation and support from others who would love to play in a world like this! A world where modern cities, ancient legends, and mystical realms collide — inspired by Chinese culture and C-dramas. New World: Yúnzé (云泽) Split into three unique neighborhoods, each inspired by a facet of Chinese life and storytelling: Skyreach District (Modern – Chongqing-Inspired) > A vibrant urban city of high-rises, street markets, spicy hotpot shops, and neon-lit nightlife. Explore tea cafés, calligraphy bars, fashion shops Gameplay: Street food carts, Mahjong tables, modern Chinese fashion trends NPC Sims wear modern Chinese-inspired outfits (high street + traditional fusion) Career: Firework Factory Technician (mid-tier career with risky night shifts) 2. Zhongyuan Village (Ancient Xi’an-Inspired) > A tranquil village with traditional wooden homes, incense gardens, lotus ponds, and an old city wall. Visit ancestor shrines, temples, and paper lantern festivals Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival and Chinese New Year with dumpling cooking, red envelopes, and fireworks Skills: Calligraphy, Mooncake Baking, Zither Playing (Guzheng) Career: Matchmaker, with romance-based gameplay mechanics 3. Realm of Xianxia (Hidden World) > A mystical plane accessed through a shrine portal, where legends live and time stands still. Magical floating mountains, ancient beasts, glowing plants Gameplay inspired by xianxia dramas: flight, sword cultivation, spiritual training Career: Guardian of the Xianxia (you protect balance between mortal and mystical worlds) Collect: Spirit petals, Phoenix feathers, Immortal scrolls Festivals & Events Festival What Happens Chinese New Year Fireworks, dumpling feasts, lion dances, red envelope gifting Mid-Autumn Festival Moon-viewing parties, paper lantern wishes, mooncake making Legends Night (Xianxia only) Spirits walk among mortals — rare collectibles and prophecy-based events Fashion & CAS Modern urban fashion inspired by Chinese trends (Hanfu streetwear fusion) Traditional Hanfu, Qipao, Tangzhuang for formal events. Jade jewellery. Mystical robes and accessories for xianxia Sims (floating sashes, glowing swords, cloud crowns) Hairstyles: long flowing styles, ornate braids, jade hairpins. 1. Legacy System: Ancestral Lineage (Cross-Neighborhood Feature) > Link the present, past, and mystical future of your Sim through generations New gameplay: Family shrine tracks your ancestry (like a spiritual family tree) Leave offerings, light incense, or write scrolls to honor ancestors Dead relatives from Zhongyuan Village may visit during festivals or when honored Xianxia Realm may “call” your Sim based on their ancestor’s traits or deeds 2. Flight & Light Step (Mystical Abilities in Xianxia Realm) > Inspired by how characters fly through trees or clouds in Chinese dramas. Use light-footed sprinting, floating meditation, or cloud-steps Only available in Xianxia realm after completing “spiritual trials” Cosmetic-only if EA limits powers, or toggleable like vampire powers 6. New Aspiration Paths “Balance of Realms” — connect all 3 neighborhoods through spiritual and social choices “Modern Maven” — rise through a fast-paced Chongqing career while honoring traditions “Harmony Keeper” — keep peace in your family and community through festivals and rituals231Views9likes20CommentsConsistency Expansion Pack Items
General feedback about consistency for expansion pack items and colours for a possible update at some-point. It would be nice to have colour consitency options for matching door and windows in the same expansion packs and game packs. A few examples I have attached images for are for the following: HBD Door & Slider Ranch Doors & Windows Roof Styles/Colours & Wall Sculptures HBD Door & HBD Slider Door - The Door colours do not match the slider door colours. There is a brown door, but there is no brown colour for the HBD Slider door. Ranch Doors & Windows - I wanted to use the dark green ranch door for my front door but the colours for the windows do not have matching colours to the door. It would be nice to have these additional colours for the windows because it would make the design build easier to make a consistent design house. Roof Styles/Colours & Wall Sculptures - This is issue I recently just ran into. I wanted to do some roofs over my windows but I realized that I could not do that because the red shade colour for the roof is not in the selection for matching structure. This would be nice update to have, I am a designer and these little things bother me when I am trying to design a nice looking house but cannot match colours correctly.15Views2likes0CommentsMermaid Stuff Pack or Kit
I feel like after the addition of fairies and how much customization has been given to them and all the other occults the mermaids in particular feel very lackluster with their 4 tail options (though they always kind of had but now its more obvious). While I would Prefer an update to Island Living that would provide it for free, I highly doubt EA would ever do that so I propose the idea of a stuff pack that would provide more for the mermaids. More tail options with different shaped fins and fish types such as jelly fish or octopi A Paint Mode for tails like fairy's wings and werewolf's fur Unique CAS such as finned ears, neck gills, and webbed hands Unique needs beyond hydration such as craving fish or saltwater (also making them gain hydration from the Seasons Kiddie Pool) These are just a few ideas, I'm sure there are plenty more that could make a pack like that worth it.31Views5likes1CommentCareer Idea + Pets
Would it be too much of an undertaking to have a maid active career where the hired sim goes into townie's houses and finds dishes, laundry, bathrooms, and floors to clean? I think it would be fun bc we could keep up with townies who are slobs and don't keep a prestine house. And like at lvl ten you just walk into people's houses...which could tie into Always Welcome Aspiration and maybe Neighborhood Confidaunt Aspiration? And if you steal, or do extra chores (like making beds , walking the dog) it boosts your good or bad reputation) I could also see this 'activating' current rabbit-hole careers like gardener and laborer... But dog bather, horse groom, and ranch hand would also be fun careers and centered on animals and chores that need doing that most sims wouldn't like to do like picking up poo (how come only my played household has stinky dog poo infront of it?!) And cat litter boxes, and mucking out stalls/cow sheds... Could the cowplant get an update to something more of a pet/chicken/goat/sheep/ Patchy, that actually moves around and as traits? Thank you for all the new updates and expansion!20Views3likes1Comment
