It's a really simple detail, but nobody mentions it : in all the Sims games, you can read a book while lying in bed when you're relaxing, but in The Sims 4, you can't ! It's a basic thing—reading while lying down before going to sleep. If people talked about it, maybe they'd think about adding it...
There is a mod by Simkatu called "read in bed"; it's really good for more realism, not sure if it works with the new update though, as I'm having technical difficulties at the moment.
Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I know, but it's always mods... It's a basic feature—I think Maxis just forgot to include it; it was in all the other Sims games. They need to add it :)
While it is wonderful that we have so many talented modders who can fix the game, add on to the game that EA seems inept to do, there are many of us who do not wish to use mods to have these functions in our game. Look at this latest fiasco. It is times like these more and more many of us are surrendering the use of Mods, just so we can play in peace without worrying a Mod or piece of CC won't crash our games. But now with all this mess going on... even those of us without Mods or CC are not able to play. Crazy.
I do love the idea for Sims to read books in bed. That would be awesome. Doubtful that they will do it... but awesome.
I'd love the option for sims to read in bed. This is something I do on a nightly basis.
Would be nice to have that animation back, to read in bed or on a sunlounger. In TS3 they could also read while lying on their tummy on the beach towels, would be nice to have that back too.
Yes, it's a basic part of life, and it was possible in The Sims 2 and 3. In The Sims 4, you can relax on the bed and... do nothing
