Removing Trait

I completed the Wealthy challenge and now i have the "Shrewd" trait. My Sim receives an interest payment every week and now I am always at 9,999,999 simoleons no matter how much I spend, since the interest payment always brings me back to the max. I feel like I'm not really playing the game before but I can't figure out how to delete the Shrewd trait so the payments stop coming.
