Could you please provide the following information then
- Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do. Please pick a thread tag for that.
- What platform are you playing on (PC, Mac, Playstation, XBox). Please pick a thread tag for that.
- Meanwhile I'll check with a CM if this is design.
- Please also post all the levels of your household. What they currently have and their career level.
I tested without mods and CC too and it is the same. I did not have any mods or CC that have to do with titles anyway.
I use PC.
About Levels:
Beatrice Capp:
Beatrice Capp started the Noble Career from level 1 and advanced to level 5, Influential Liege. Supposed to be Countess now. Her husband who had no noble parents or noble career but was also premade (Caleb Vatore) takes her title every time she gets promoted. He is Count now and she is still Lady, which is very unfair. So his title updated with her promotion but hers did not.
Virgilio Capp:
Sofia Abrantes was promised her mother's title before her mother died, so she inherited the Margravine title. When she married Virgilio, he kept his Lord title. Her advancement in career works fine I think because her mother is dead. She is Marchioness now. Virgilio is still Lord.
When Tybalt Capp became King for some time, Virgilio became Prince. Which means it is not that his title is stuck or never updates, it is that the title that comes from his father has a higher priority that any other title. But then Tybalt lost his King title and is back to Grand Duke, so his children are Lady, Lord, and Lordem again. Again the titles updated in this case.
Beatrice became princess too before she joined the noble career but lost it with her father's demotion.
The same happened with Dante Monty. His mother joined the career first and he became lord. Then he joined the noble career and stayed Lord, so I made his mother quit to test, and he became Knight at Level 1. Then, his mother rejoined the career and he is back to Lord.
So titles are not stuck, they just have wrong logic that makes a sim's achievements irrelevant if they have a noble parent. That was nice when their parent was king because princess and prince are better than any other title they can achieve, but not when they are just Lady/Lord.
It could be by design but could also be a mistake in design. An overlooked case not a bug. It is more consistent than a bug.
