Safari Adventure – New Vacation & Exploration Pack Idea

My Sim is very depressed because she wants to go on a Safari Vacation.
I would really love to see a new vacation world focused on safaris, wildlife and exploration. We already have beautiful vacation destinations in The Sims 4, but I would love another world where travelling feels like a real adventure and where there is a lot to discover outside of the normal lots.
Imagine being able to stay at a small safari lodge or campsite and actually go on safari tours and expeditions. Sims could see wild animals in their natural habitat, take wildlife photographs, use binoculars, collect information about different species and maybe even work with local rangers or help with conservation.
I would especially love a world that rewards exploration. There could be hidden locations, waterfalls, caves, ancient ruins, rare animals and secret areas that you cannot simply access immediately.
One idea I would absolutely love is a local language skill. When Sims first arrive, they might only understand a few words. By talking to locals, reading books or taking language lessons, they could gradually learn the language. Higher language skills could unlock new conversations with local Sims, stories about the region, directions, clues and eventually access to places that tourists normally never discover.
Different expeditions could also have different requirements. Some might require better fitness, survival skills, local knowledge or certain equipment. Weather and wildlife could make every trip feel a little different.
I would also love activities for Sims who don't want a dangerous adventure: guided wildlife tours, photography, birdwatching, local markets, traditional food, cultural activities and relaxing at the lodge.
This could be a really fun way to bring deeper travel and exploration gameplay back to The Sims 4. I miss travelling somewhere and feeling like my Sims have an entire new place to discover rather than simply visiting another beautiful world.
And most importantly, my poor Sim could finally stop being depressed and go on her safari vacation.

Would you play a pack like this? What would you want to see in a safari/adventure world?

  • ### **Expansion Pack Concept: The Sims 4 Wild Savannah / Safari Adventures**

    **Core Idea**

A full wildlife safari-themed expansion pack introducing a massive eco-tourism world, complex animal management, deep interactions with large, exotic wild animals, and a brand-new spiritual occult.

    ### **1. New Destination World: Ol-Duvai Plains**

    * **The Environment:** A gorgeous world inspired by the African savannah, split into diverse eco-zones like lush watering holes, dusty plains, and thick acacia brush.

    * **The Lots:** Features a mix of residential zones, customizable luxury eco-lodges, glamping campsites, and sprawling wildlife reserves.

    ### **2. New Exotic Animals**

    * **Large Wildlife (Habitat-based):** Giraffes, Elephants, Lions, Zebras, and Rhinos that roam the reserve areas. Sims can observe them from a safe distance or use special feeding stations.

    * **Mid-Sized Animals:** Meerkats, Cheetahs, and Ostriches with active, playful AI behavior.

    * **Minor Wildlife (Exhibit-based):** Chameleon terrariums, unique beetle species, and a brand-new **Birdwatching Skill** featuring colourful local birds.

    ### **3. Gameplay Mechanics & Activities**

    * **Safari Game Drives:** A brand-new transport mechanic where Sims can ride in open-top utility vehicles to track, herd, and take photos of wild animals.

    * **Wildlife Photography:** An expansion of the photography skill, allowing Sims to sell high-value wildlife shots to magazines or hang them in their homes.

    * **Animal Dangers:** Sims must respect the wildlife! Approaching a protective lion or startling a rhino can lead to funny or dramatic new deaths (e.g., Death by Trampling).

    ### **4. New Occult Sim Type: The Medicine Shaman (Witch Doctor)**

Instead of traditional European-style spellcasters, this world introduces a powerful new spiritual occult heavily tied to nature, folklore, and ancient animal spirits.

    * **The Calling:** Sims must travel deep into the forbidden savannah brush, find a sacred ancient tree, and perform a ritual offering to awaken their supernatural powers.

    * **Harmony Meter:** Instead of mana, they manage a "Harmony with Nature" bar. Using dark curses drains it, while performing tribal rituals or healing wild animals refills it.

    * **Animal Spirit Totems:** They can channel the spirits of the savannah to gain temporary supernatural buffs:

      * *Spirit of the Lion:* Gives intense physical strength and an intimidating roar that scares other Sims.

      * *Spirit of the Cheetah:* Allows the Sim to sprint at super-speeds across the massive world map.

      * *Spirit of the Meerkat:* Instantly detects hidden collectibles, burrowed insects, and rare herbs.

    * **Voodoo & Blessings:** Craft customizable Voodoo Dolls to control other Sims, or brew powerful herbal elixirs in a Ritual Cauldron to change the world’s weather or instantly tame aggressive wild predators.

    ### **5. New Character Traits**

    * **Animal Instincts:** These Sims build relationships with wild animals twice as fast and can "sense" an animal's mood before interacting with it, drastically reducing the risk of attacks.

    * **Fearless Explorer:** Completely immune to the "Terrified" emotional state when facing wild predators, severe weather, or witch doctor curses. They love to do dangerous activities, like teasing lions.

    * **Skeptic:** The perfect counter-trait for the new occult. They are highly resistant to curses and voodoo manipulation, and they get annoyed when witnessing spiritual rituals.

    ### **6. New Careers & Aspirations**

    * **Game Ranger / Wildlife Conservationist:** Track poachers, monitor animal health, protect the environment, and nurse sick animals back to health.

    * **Safari Lodge Owner:** A fully active business career where you build, decorate, and manage a high-end luxury resort camp for visiting tourists.

    * **Aspirations:** "Ultimate Explorer" (focused on photographing every animal) and "Wildlife Protector" (focused on reserve conservation).

    ### **7. Build/Buy & CAS Aesthetic**

    * **Create-A-Sim:** Earthy utility gear, khaki ranger uniforms, vintage 1940s-style bush clothing, and traditional, vibrant African-inspired patterns and textiles.

    * **Build/Buy:** Dramatic canopy tents, heavy wood traveling trunks, rustic mudbrick textures, brass accents, and large binoculars.

  • Much of this suggestion is covered by the Jungle Adventure game pack.
