I think the idea walks on a very fine line. The Sims (while fine with death and chaos) has always tried to keep the game separated from certain aspects of reality. The concept of the Sims trying to simulate a survival game sounds fairly off the mark. I mean, I could see them upping the weather into something silly like reports of a tornado swooped in and stole a baby via notifications or neighborhood stories... but an actual survival game?
