How underwater shipwreck exploration could work: 
When a Sim enters, it transitions to an exploration lot, like temples in Jungle Adventure. The shipwreck is dark, metallic, and eerie, with:

Locked Doors

• Require different types of access:
• Keys found inside lockers, storage chests or at the beach.
• Mechanical blockades – use a hammer or crowbar to pry open sealed doors (Fitness skill).

Metal debris

• Metal debris blocks paths. Sims must use a sledgehammer to break through. Requires Fitness skill.

Storage Compartments & Treasure Rooms

• Chests, safes, and cargo containers may hold:
• Simoleons or high-value metals or crystals
• Lost personal items (clues to ghost stories).

would be really cool... which is why ea wont do it.
