Sky Lanterns Shouldn't Be Exclusive to Sims With a Certain Trait
I just now saw a sim send up a sky lantern for the first time, and I love this animation!
But here's the thing: Sending up sky lanterns is tied to the Child of the Village trait. I don't think that makes much sense. It doesn't matter that the trait can be given to any sim and that autogenerated sims can randomly get this trait. I think it simply shouldn't be tied to a trait at all, and I think that every sim should be able to do it. Sending up sky lanterns is a thing in many places around the world, and it can be done in almost any place in the world no matter if it's "a thing" there or not. It isn't something only a handful of people do.
I suggest that it should be removed as an idle animation for the Child of the Village trait, and I think that sims instead should be able to buy sky lanterns to send them up. For example: Click on a computer -> Buy a sky lantern -> Sky lantern shows up in the inventory -> Click on sky lantern -> Pick "send up"
If we want to compare it to something similar: How would it look if only sims with a certain trait could send up fireworks?
