Small Tweaks to Base Game And City Living Functions
I'd really love if fridges had an option to be locked as I completely despise making meals, laying them out for my invited guests, and only for them to head straight to grab what isn't on the menu. It's even worse if you have a sim with the glutton trait around. I recently learned that npc sims find it offensive for actively played sims to cook in their homes, so I'm not quite sure why npcs don't show the same courtesy when entering a played household.
I'd also love for there not to be a limitation on handing out house keys. I realize this feature is meant as like a roommate function, but I utilize it so that my legacy family is able to stay connected easily when I split the households. As it stands currently, there's only a number of keys that can be handed out within a window, and I ultimately have to wait some time before I can continue to hand out the keys. And that time duration as far as I've noticed is a sim leaving the lot and returning in the coming in simulation days. Lastly, keys should work on locked entrance points! I've had to lock gates for npcs not to trespass. Provided the sims have a key to the lot, they should still be allowed to enter the build despite what locked gates or doors exist.
To me, these are both small adjustments that would make a great difference in gameplay.
