It would be incredible to:
- put staircases on a 45° angle
- have stairs that "contour" to the small/medium/large round room wall shapes
- add carpeted stairs that match all base game carpet types and swatches
- put railing on one side of a staircase (shift+click)
Please, oh, please, yes to all of these, but especially the railing one. There's currently a visual issue (glitch? bug?) with stair railings sticking out through the walls that they touch, and this would go a long way to making that a non-issue. Also, it would just be nice lol.
Agreed! EA Sims team, can we please, please have more options for the stairs? They're definitely overdue for an update... Spiral, diagonal, and curved staircases- those options would be absolutely AMAZING and very much needed for those of use who love building.
Can we please have carpet on Stairs. We had the ability to do this in the Sims 3 but not 4.

Since we just got a stair update, I'd like it if they could adjust the length of the stair railing individually. It would make customization way better since we can only adjust the length of both rails at once.
We do at least have the railing on one side option now, but I would love to get the other three suggestions here!
Especially carpeted stairs. What New England house doesn't have carpeted stairs (or at least a runner, in the old ones)?
