Stop Locking Plants Behind Debug

We want these plants! We want to use these plants! Why are so many plants- literally HUNDREDS- only found in debug? They're fully functional objects!

They need names/descriptions...guys, I'll write you names and descriptions. Put me in the credits and throw me a couple hundred bucks and I will personally write names/descriptions for every single debug plant.

  • I hate having to dig through debug for objects that have no gameplay reasons to be behind debug ("gameplay reasons to be debug" would be things like collectibles and craftables, objects only meant to exist for batuu or strangerville story-gameplay or career lots, etc). It feels bizarre that a nature/gardening themed pack doesn't come with more landscaping plants and rocks that players can easily place on their lot. Things like the giant mushrooms may not make sense in a "normal" lot, but neither do the decorative vines in the strangerville pack, and those are freely available!

A lot of the more unique debug plants are connected to different Packs and EPs in the game.

You can find them when you click on a certain pack or EP in build mod.

Many of those debug plants are just duplicates of plants already in the BB catalogue. I don't really care for those. But there are plants that are unique looking and are only available as debug and I wish they would stop doing this.

There's literally 6x as many debug plants as there are non-debug plants, which is so crazy. And literally the only thing they're lacking is multiple swatches (for most plants who even cares?) and names/descriptions! It's not like they're even lower quality!

  • I like the debug items too. I wish they would have proper names, at least basic names. But you are not wrong—I think we are in desperate need of new plants in the official "landscape mode." Besides a very few from some packs (a few new plants, mostly trees, and some shrubs), we didn't get much. 🤨

It isn't just for challenge builds. I use more than just debug plants, even for decoration of homes I actually play in.

  • Making them official in-the-catalog-at-all-times pieces of content would only serve to improve the game, I don't really care about people using them to cheat not spending money. They should be properly officially supported and readily available, that's way more important than spamming them to save money on a challenge build lol

  • Debug is amazing and I hope console players have complete access to this feature.

It's like in game cc. 🙂

I like the debug plants. It is a way to landscape the home without it costing any funds. We are lucky they can gain access to them by jyst typing in a couple of commands.
