Stop with in game ads

Like seriously.

I've stopped playing because of this... Didn't bought the last last pack either.

The game is unplayable as it is. Kills any enjoyment from it.

And side question : is there an actual support mail, rather than chat.

I would like to point at that reddit thread too :

  • @EowynCarterI'm playing, but less than I used to and although these recent bug fixes are a good gesture, it doesn't make up for the fact that we are asking to be treated as valued customers, not numbered ATMs.

I read the reddit thread but it is now locked so I couldn't add any thoughts to it. At the least, the history is there so maybe EA will read it anyway?

For your support question, here is what I've found: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/using-ea-help/

I'll keep looking, though, because it sure does feel like we're shouting into a void here sometimes.

I actually made a rant post not too long ago how The Sims 4 has been awful this year, which included the implementation of the shopping cart icon that no one asked for.

To be honest, the only reason I'm even still playing The Sims 4 is to get my unfinished projects done. I had to put these off for a long time because of the ceiling being an eyesore. Yes, they're gonna be fixing it in the next update, but waiting 8 weeks just for the ceiling to be fixed is ridiculous, especially for players like me who take thousands of screenshots. I've actually taken over 50,000 in the past 2 years (I started playing The Sims 4 in May 2022). One thing I did though, which was a last resort, was make a big empty room over the house, as the houses I typically make are basically 1-bedroom apartment style houses, just to make the ceiling look normal so I can take the screenshots that I need to. I typically only take screenshots within the house and this big empty room overtop isn't noticeable anyway, so it does at least help with me getting my projects done.

After I'm done my projects though, I'm gonna be retiring The Sims 4 completely, because dealing with The Sims 4 means dealing with constant creep of updates that always seem to break something. The Sims 4 is good when it works, until it doesn't...

  • We don't pay hundreds of dollars buying DLC just to get ads in your game. I'm not going to spend another cent until that button gets removed! And also having to see ads in the Menu... I don't care how I look writing this, but EA YOU ARE DISGUSTING and GREEDY, and I'm not going to buy Sims 5 or ANYTHING from you anymore. 💔

It's gone full-screen now, because why not?! 🥳

  • Just restarted the game, two pop up, two notification, then the cart button..

Want me to but the DLC ? Make sure I want to play the game so I have a motivation to buy more content for it, don't disgust me from it.

    Come on EA !

  • I get confused every time there's a UI update for the homepage. I don't like the ads and recommended packs (which is basically anything). I think it recommended me a pack I already had once too.  Still does it with the sleek bathroom kit which I already have too... but maybe that's a permanent ad for showing that it's new.  I also agree that it would be nice not to have ads since we already pay for all the DLC.  I still do like that there is a store tab though to see if there's a sale and what packs I don't have ...which have come out new.

i think the cart button did advertise stuff i already had.

I can hardly remember, I goes to "angry modlet" mode, and just close the pop up / dismiss the notification as fast I can.
