I actually made a rant post not too long ago how The Sims 4 has been awful this year, which included the implementation of the shopping cart icon that no one asked for.
To be honest, the only reason I'm even still playing The Sims 4 is to get my unfinished projects done. I had to put these off for a long time because of the ceiling being an eyesore. Yes, they're gonna be fixing it in the next update, but waiting 8 weeks just for the ceiling to be fixed is ridiculous, especially for players like me who take thousands of screenshots. I've actually taken over 50,000 in the past 2 years (I started playing The Sims 4 in May 2022). One thing I did though, which was a last resort, was make a big empty room over the house, as the houses I typically make are basically 1-bedroom apartment style houses, just to make the ceiling look normal so I can take the screenshots that I need to. I typically only take screenshots within the house and this big empty room overtop isn't noticeable anyway, so it does at least help with me getting my projects done.
After I'm done my projects though, I'm gonna be retiring The Sims 4 completely, because dealing with The Sims 4 means dealing with constant creep of updates that always seem to break something. The Sims 4 is good when it works, until it doesn't...
