Suggestion - Sims 4 - Sims with Disabilities

I want the sims 4 new add ASL american sign language will be it big Enjoy and I am deaf i play the sims for 13 year I want to Give you a new Idea and we have Hearing aids and where is sign language? we need add ASL Please I hope it will be Help. Thank you. 

If they can create horses for use to ride, swimming pools where we dive, then can't they just create a wheelchair, its not a big thing to ask. It would make for a more realistic game play when one of your characters, broke her back falling off said horse. Or fell down the stairs, or what about a burns unit in the hospital, there are enough fires in Sims, surely they do end up suffering major burns or should.

Wouldn't sims be more realistic if they just used there imagination. Maybe some canny creator can just do it for us. Sims have wasted more money and time on castles and crystals than what we really want.

Please read already given answers in this thread why adding wheelchairs would be a "big thing". Basically the game would have to be rebuild from the ground up to accommodate this. I don't see that happening in TS4 maybe in project Rene though I personally doubt it.

As for injuries you have to remember that this is a compressed game where 1 day equals 1 year real time so any injuries would be over in a couple hours hardly enough time to get to the hospital. With games you have to realize that not everything can be made realistic and the Sims 4 has loads of unrealistic things in it.

As a person with a disability, I use the game as an escape from reality. EA never implements things like that very well. The current medical devices are just for show. Do you know how a majority of Sims I have aged up in-game randomly get hearing aids for no reason other than it is in the earing/glasses category? I have fibromyalgia, and it doesn't present the same in every person. There is a mod trait for it, and includes things that I don't experience or have to deal with from my disability IRL. Btw, I am an OG simmer and have played since 2000. I was in my early 20's when the franchise was originally created. A majority of people I know with disabilities use gaming as a way to escape reality. From my observation, it is just a new-age extreme group who are wanting every game to have representation to the level of reality. I sympathize with those who believe they want a deep level of representation, but those same people would heavily complain if it was put in as DLC instead of as a base game feature. 

You can slow the game down though, I never realised it was that fast paced, no wonder they age fast. Thanks for the heads up. Andrea

No its not that, its that I have a story based around a disabled girl, and I am unable to play out that story in sims, no worrys there are work arounds, mods, poses and people have created wheelchairs and other props. Its just making gaming more life like for me any way, from a caring and nursing background.

Moreover, I kindly request that you consider including mental illnesses such as autism within this expansion pack. By doing so, you would not only provide a platform for players to better understand and empathize with those who have these experiences in real life but also foster a more inclusive and diverse virtual community.

I understand that the development of such an expansion pack would require extensive research, collaboration with mental health professionals, and thoughtful consideration. However, I strongly believe that by tackling this topic with the same care and attention to detail that you have consistently demonstrated, you have the potential to create a truly groundbreaking and influential addition to The Sims 4.

There may be a work-around option to include gameplay objects that represent disabilities: Physical Therapy, which uses walkers, crutches, and ramps in healing and recovery. This is an opportunity to add a new active career, medical objects, and a new game mechanic: injury and therapy. There are several ways of including mobility medical aids into the game that have been discussed in this and other forums.  I think I have seen the sliding rail platforms for stairs referred to as well as many other great ideas. Another way to include wheelchairs more easily into the game would be to offer the stair-climbing wheelchair.  It is not as popular in RL - possibly because of cost, aesthetics, and the general odd feelings the operator may feel when using one of these and the fact that there are even more possibilities for breakdowns or tech issues.

There are many long-term players who have spent thousands of dollars over the life of the Sims iterations who have finally given up on EA ever being truly inclusive and ever fixing the game bugs and issues, not to mention providing the content that the players are actually requesting and have been since the game first released!  Ignoring these paying clients while courting new clients with free games doesn’t seem to be wise business (and I understand the carrot premise that they are supposedly following).  With so many competitors about to come into the market, EA should be looking to its existing client base and confirming that it is stable.  No matter how big and grand the castle is - if the foundations are unstable the castle will fall!  

The above paragraph is a bit of a sidestep, yet relevant given the climate of the player base, the market, as well as how long disability inclusion has been requested (along with several other items of gameplay).
