Suggestion: Native WASD/Controller Support

Subject: The Sims 4 – Please Add Direct Control Mode! 🎮

Dear EA and The Sims Team,

I love playing The Sims 4 on Xbox Series X, but I would really like to see a new update that lets players control their Sims directly with the Xbox controller.

Here are the features I would love to see:

1. Direct Control Mode – Walk and run using the left joystick, just like in The Sims 2.
2. Third-Person Camera – Follow your Sim while walking around.
3. Drive Cars – Let Sims own and drive vehicles.
4. Explore Neighborhoods – Walk around and visit places more freely.
5. Controller Options – Switch between classic Sims controls and direct control.
6. Xbox Series X Improvements – Make the controls smoother and easier to use.

Please consider bringing back direct character control in a future Sims 4 update for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.

A Sims 4 Xbox Player

The "first person" mode was just a side project done by a dev for the fun of it, if I remember correctly. It wasn't something that was done to be a fully featured way to play the game. It was shared because the dev had fun. If you search past interviews/dev livestreams that is where I believe I remember  the bit of that information is from, but it has been a few years. Not sure they will go back to it to implement your request, because it wasn't a project that was directed to be done for the game originally.

It had interesting results in the past, where people could see the eyes and mouths of the sim they were in direct control over at times. Many players forget that mode even exists. Personally, I don't remember how to get into the mode and actually dislike when I accidentally trigger it. 

Also I have no idea why more people aren't actually putting this on the forum, when there are plenty of people talking about it on other sites?

I agree completely. I love the immersion of first person mode, I slow down and actually enjoy the enviroments and interactions so much more instead of just fast forwarding everything. But it's incomplete without direct control. The awkwardness of the point and click absolutely ruins it! It's unusable in some cases.

If you think this is a good idea please like and reply, because the more engagement this gets the more likely it is to be seen by someone working on the game.
