This is how many of the CAS creators do clothes, they take bits of meshes and the UV maps and textures that go with them and create new stuff. It's faster and they don't need to be very good at either meshing or texture painting. Here the creator of the kit probably wanted to keep the maxis match feel. You also need to keep in mind that here's one person creating all these assets and not an entire team like with Maxis, so they are going to take some shortcuts. Personally, I like the jeans and the ribbon jewellery, but don't like the ribbons applied to all the clothes. The white top would have been nicer with some heart or flower shaped buttons instead of the ribbon ties.
I gotta question why we're making official paid content with creators who work "faster and easier" instead of creators who can make new things with their own skill.
Using items as a base is fine, it's totally logical, and doing it this specific way is fair...for free CC. But for paid officially endorsed content we should definitely expect more than "I took this shirt and these sleeves and pasted them together", or a literal recolor of a pair of pants.
"It's only one person, of course they'll take shortcuts" makes no sense. Many talented CC creators don't make their content this way- if they're gonna keep making kits like this they need to be more careful with who they choose to do them with. The simple fact is, frankenmeshed content is less valuable than new content.
It's fine for CC. I even think it's fine for maxis for other, non-kit types of content (an expansion will get extra pieces of content out of this process, but a kit has a limited amount of items every time, and won't get 3-5 extra pieces if 6 of them are made out of others, it just gets those 6 others with nothing extra). But for paid CC, no, let's pick creators who make fully new content.
At the end of the day its 2 and a half candy bars worth of cost but it sets a bad precedent. EA or the creator need to address this and personally I can't believe the creator hasn't said a word, which makes me think EA endorsed/approved of it, and is the one who needs to go "yeah we probably shouldnt do this, sorry".

Speaking Truth I have nothing against the Creator just however with the Ebonics kit I felt it was new yes we had head wraps but she made it a new head wrap, the jeans was different, the shirts looked different and the dashiki shirt. This just feels like maxis content but cut it short and add bows.

I think the issue is not with the creator because I am sure this is not the first time they did this. The issue is with EA, they chose to promote them and work with them and they published the kit anyway. I don't get the purpose of the creator kits if they aren't going to at least check the content and quality of the items they are promoting. They should have some standards to adhere to and not just do whatever.
That being said, I would love if they do a collaboration with Madlen for shoes.

I think they already made a creator not I don't think EA will go back it will be someone new.
