The Sims 4 — Hit the Stage! Expansion pack idea

General Concept "Hit the Stage!" would be an expansion pack dedicated to the entertainment industry: music, dance, concerts, celebrity status, television, film, and major events. The goal would be to allow Sims to experience a genuine artistic career, from their initial practice sessions all the way to performing on big stages and attending awards ceremonies.  A New World: A Music City The pack would add a new world built entirely around the entertainment industry. It would feature: *  Recording studios *  Rehearsal studios *  Dance studios *  Talent agencies *  Concert venues *  Fan-meeting spaces *  Film studios *  TV studios *  Filming locations *  Movie theaters *  Cafés with small stages *  Venues for major events The city would also come alive with concert posters, musical events, and fans.  New Career: Singer A Sim could choose a music career and decide to become a: *  Solo artist *  Duo *  Trio *  Band Career progression would start with practice and small performances before moving up to major stages. A workday could include: * vocal training; * dance training; * rehearsal; * choreography creation; * recording; * concert preparation; * meeting fans.

New dance system Dancing would play a much more significant role. Various styles would be available: * Jazz * Hip-hop * Contemporary * Classical * and other styles depending on the pack's capabilities. Each style would offer several moves.  Creating a choreography The player could create a short choreography by selecting multiple moves. For example: Move 1 → Jazz Move 2 → Hip-hop Move 3 → Movement/Travel Move 4 → Contemporary The game would automatically string the moves together. Choreographies could then be saved and rehearsed. Each choreography could have its own mastery level.  Group choreographies The system would be even more advanced for groups. The player could: * save multiple choreographies; * choose the members' positions; * determine specific movements; * create simple formations; * have the members dance together. This way, Sims could actually perform a coordinated choreography rather than just dancing individually.

Music and Performances Artists could create and record multiple songs. Songs wouldn't need to last several minutes in real-time; they could be intentionally short to better suit the gameplay. A performance could thus consist of a series of short songs and dance routines.  Concerts A concert would be a major interactive event comprising multiple performances. Before the concert: * preparation; * rehearsals; * song selection; * choreography selection; * outfit selection; * band preparation. During the concert: * taking the stage; * songs; * choreography; * audience interaction; * grand finale. A concert could last roughly 1 to 1.5 hours in Sim time, without forcing the player to watch an endless performance.  Fans Popularity would become a full-fledged system. Initially, the artist might be virtually unknown. Then, through songs, concerts, and performances: Unknown → Up-and-coming Artist → Popular Artist → Superstar The fan base could grow over time. This would also allow for organizing: * fan meet-and-greets; * photo shoots; * public events; * large-scale fan gatherings.  Music Charts Artists could appear on music charts. For example:  Top Sims  Artist Rankings could shift based on: * popularity; * performances; * released songs; * concerts; * fan engagement. Players could thus try to climb the charts and get their artist to the number one spot.

The Sims Awards A major annual ceremony could be held to reward artists. Possible categories: *  Artist of the Year *  Song of the Year *  Group of the Year *  Performance of the Year *  Breakthrough Artist of the Year *  Music Video of the Year Sims could be nominated, attend the ceremony, take the stage, and receive an award. The Sims Gala Another major high-society event could be organized. Featuring: *  red carpet; *  photographers; *  extravagant outfits; *  celebrities; *  photos; *  artist meet-and-greets. The goal would be to create a genuine social event centered around celebrities.  A Real Television System Another major improvement would involve the acting career. Currently, a Sim can shoot a movie or a TV series, but the finished product could have a greater presence in the game world. With this system: Filming → production → broadcast → audience reaction A few days after filming, the movie or episode could air on television. The player could then actually watch a short clip of the production their Sim created.  Music Videos The same principle could apply to musical artists. After recording a song, an artist could produce a music video. The video could then be broadcast: * on television; * at specific events; * potentially in public venues. This would allow the player's creations to have a real presence in the Sims' world.

An interconnected entertainment industry The main appeal of the pack would be having all these features work together. For example: sim → actress  Films a series ↓  The series airs ↓  Her fame grows Meanwhile: sim→ singer  Records a song ↓  Creates choreography ↓  Shoots a music video ↓ The video airs ↓ She gains fans ↓  She performs a concert ↓ She can be nominated for the Sims Awards This would create the feeling of a genuine entertainment world rather than just a collection of isolated features.  The pack’s core concept The goal wouldn't be to create systems that are overly complex or unmanageable. On the contrary, many features could be streamlined to fit the style of *The Sims 4*. The key would be to create a simple loop: Create →  Rehearse →  Produce →  Broadcast →  Gain fans →  Perform →  Get rewarded And above all, to allow the player's creations to have a real presence in the game world.  Why this pack would be This pack would offer huge potential for developing stories around: * up-and-coming artists; * friend groups; * solo singers; * dancers; * actors; * celebrities; * artist families; * rivalries; * rising to fame.
