The Sims 4 Has Too Few Fine Moodlets

The Fine emotion in The Sims 4 is really underused. We need more Fine moodlets, and I'm not only talking about new ones, but a lot of the moodlets that are now tied to other emotion could absolutely be turned into Fine moodlets instead. I think all the moodlets that have to do with relaxation or relief should be Fine moodlets instead.

Happy moodlets that I think could be Fine moodlets instead:
- How Fresh! (about upgraded fridge)

- Flavor Enhanced! (about fine microwaved food)
- Edible ("That food wasn't what I'd call good. But it wasn't terrible either.")
- Pretty Tasty ("That was a fairly tasty dish.")
- Good Heat Management (about upgraded stove)
- It's Just Ok ("That definitely tasted 'natural.' Could use some more flavor.")
- Smooth Sipping
- Ahhh Refreshing ("What better way to enjoy a day of relaxation than with a refreshing drink.")
- Secretly Relieved
- Classy Content ("Snobs appreciate television programming that doesn't rot the brain.")
- Interesting Flick ("That movie was... interesting. Worth a watch, at least this once.")
- Fancy Soap (about upgraded sink)
- Super Clean (about upgraded bathtub)
- Aqua Jet Therapy ("Aqua jets help massage the limbs and muscles to ease and relax.")
- Returned Stolen Object
- Great Relief! (from sharing an emotional burden with spouse)
- Combating a Cold
- Poison Resisted
- Enjoyable Vacation ("Relaxing is good for the health, so maybe it's not completely a lie.")
- Relaxing Swim
- Refreshed ("Nothing relieves stress like some time in the great outdoors!")
- Rejuvenated! ("Sims who love outdoors will find the fresh air and beautiful scenery of the forest rejuvenating.")
- Smooth Melodies ("Listening to a great performance is always a pleasure.")
- Bowling Bystander ("There's something soothing about the rhythmic roll of a bowling ball followed by the crash of ten pins.")
- Decorated (lowest Happy moodlet for good environment)
- Decently Decorated ("The aesthetics of this house are... acceptable.")
- Comfy ("Now that's comfort. Makes a Sim want to sit all day long.")
- Cozy Fire
- Cozy Campfire
- Cozy Bonfire
- Crisp Air!
- Beautiful Outdoors
- Leafy Respite ("Reflecting on the time that went into shaping a Bonsai bush is oddly soothing.")
- Homey ("Doing household things feels so natural on this lot.")
- Refreshing Air Conditioning
- Central Heating
- Transformed
- Mind Controlled: Sit
- Mind Controlled: Eat
- Mind Controlled: Sleep
- Mind Controlled: Clean

Focused moodlets that I think could be Fine moodlets instead:
- Detoxifying Cup (from drinking Spa Day tea)
- Improved Posing (from doing yoga)

I also think there should be a base game tea and a base game coffee that give sims the Fine moodlet.

@Zasz_Zerg I personally don't use mods. There are also a lot of other people who don't want to use mods or who can't use mods.

Many of these moodlets are also very clear that they shouldn't be Happy or Focused, for example the "It's Just Ok" food-related moodlet, it makes no sense to be happy about food that is "just ok".

So, this thread is feedback, it's not something I need help with fixing in my personal game, it's something that could be revamped in the actual game.

Im suggesting to use mods because the devs wont change such things. Mods offer exactly what you want.

  • @EA_Cade  Hi, I just noticed that this thread has been moved to “Game Questions”, but it should be in “Game Feedback & Ideas”, since it’s feedback.

@SqueamishNerd It's not been moved here. With the renaming on the forum, there's just a lot of threads here now that should be in one of the new forums.

Game questions is the former general discussion which was all kinds of stuff. Old threads usually don't get moved over when a forum structure changes cause it's all manual work.

I'll move this over to feedback now :D
